Depending on what needs work.. If it's running and driving that's a good price.

But I don't need another one right now. There's a possibility this one is going up for sale soon.

Eh possibly bigger changes need to be made. Spare vehicles don't fit in that plan.

The floor always seems to be the coldest. I'm sure there was a little insulation on top of the plastic sheeting stuff... But boxed out between the frame to add a little more temperature buffer. Needs some more screws and bedliner to be complete, but i bet it'll help out a bit with the cold temperature swings.

No insulation in there, just an air chamber of you will. I think it's pretty well sealed (and will be with bedliner even better) but last thing I'd want is moisture in there with insulation.

Make sure you seal that end around the pipe or beam or w/e that is. Don't want critters or moisture getting in there.

I think the biggest issue, I am no scientist but I work with a butt load of them, is stopping the cold air movement underneath the RV. Most put skirts on their RV's for winter and you boxed it in. But in theory to me, this should work just as well. Just want to prevent "fresh" cold air from moving under the RV. Hot seeks cold to even out and when you are constantly replacing that slightly "warmer" cold air with new cold or colder air it is a never ending cycle cooling down the RV.

Yup, skirt would be ideal but not really supposed to be living in it where it's at, so the less attention the better.

Air box seems to have helped a bit... Didn't feel quite as cold with the -15 or so wind chill of last night.

Thin carpet did wonders in my camper. Bare feets feel nice and comfy on it too.

Yeah I've had sections of it in there. Extra stuff from the last spec that has insulation and/or padding attached to it.

Went to do a little camper research. Was interested in what all the "polar" packages offered and the enclosed underbellies.

After a quick peak under quite A few from different manufacturers, i quickly put two and two together.
Insulated underbelly is that plastic cardboard panel stuff put between the frame and then i think they had a 7 year old with Parkinson's spray great stuff near any hole and then spray painted it black to match.

So anything other than me making money on a trade in is useless. But got some ideas.

Did a valve adjustment on the bug.. Damn easy. Also adjusted the carb a little and it seems to have more pep. Still smells like gas in the cab and leaking oil.

But, looks like the oil is coming from above my jb weld fix, so maybe i didn't tighten down the oil cooler enough. Unfortunately that means removing the trunk and accessories to pull the fan shroud again. But maybe a few turns of a wrench will fix it.
