I've owned 3 houses. I've reconfigured or replaced the kitchen sink/dishwasher drain/supply in all 3. I don't understand why so many people fuck these up so bad.

It was ok with the double sink. But I must say I like the simplicity of this set up

Is it just a double-wide single now? I think I'm a fan. Split sinks are just an obstacle course with large pots and cutting boards, and something to bang fragile glasses on.

I never thought I'd care either till i got the single wide one. Sooooo much nicer. We went with a deeper one (10") too which is amazing. Coming from a top mount like 8" double to a single 10" (plus ~2" for the counter tops in total) and its very nice.

Plus i have to say i love that our sink has a like food catch built in. A simple strainer thats ~3" deep that fits in the drain. Makes it so nice when peeling potatoes or anything to be able to just wash all the scraps into the strainer and dump all the scraps at once.

Because just peeling them over the trash can wasn’t easy enough? LOL ;)

My mother just recently stayed in my home while I was out of town. She peeled potatoes in my sink and forced the peels down the disposal. The peels backed up into the dishwasher drain hose. Clogged both drains.
She then proceeded to get my toilet plunger to clear the drain...

Welp, the walls are painted, and I've got the ship lap all oiled up and ready to go tomorrow.

Between that and all the trim work I'll need to do it was a perfect excuse to buy this bad boy:IMG_20181213_195428.jpgCeiling tomorrow, floor on Saturday, then hopefully I'll have the time to sand and finish floors in time to put cabinets in late next week/weekend. Also probably going to start living there sometime this week. :santa:

I've put up and finished 22 sheets in the past week, I don't envy the work you have ahead of you.

Shiplap installed!IMG_20181214_170448.jpgHitachi nailer worked great, no splitting and only needed one battery change throughout the entire ceiling. Couple jams, but overall a pretty smooth experience.

My arms a little sore from lifting it all day, but it was absolutely worth not having the compressor running and dragging a god forsaken hose about all day.
