    Awesome!!

This makes me pretty upset with Toyota though. Like litigiously upset. Why the fuck is the Toyota engineering team getting smoked by a lone (albeit awesome) aftermarket tuner?!

Also, @OVTune, if you ever want a free proofreader/copy-editor, lemme know. I noticed more than a few "improvement opportunities" in your write-up. Not trying to insult you, just offering.

    HAHA sorry!
Fixing typos, the way my site does blogs it's difficult to check everything.

Thank you for the offer. I think anyone who reads my blogs know that I didn't major in English lol. I try to see it / write it from my own point of view.

@OVTune , I realise you've been working on the pre-ordered handhelds and they won't be ready by Xmas but will they be ready anytime soon? Glad things have finally come together on the 1.05. We all thank you :hattip:

Just read the blog post, really excited for this. Looks like a hell of a lot of good work. Can we get rid of the last of the rev hang at high RPM though? MTs would be forever grateful.

I keep waiting for the big finish where the speedo jumps from 70 to 150 in 2 seconds.

I'll take that composed transmission and high mpg though...I am pretty sure my truck's fuel economy measurer thingy does not go above 15 mpg.

Got a few miles in on the test file. I can honestly say my truck saw 6th gear more in the 100 miles today than the entire other 57k on it. Accelerating at 65+ mph and holding. Like @acemastr said if you hit it it’ll drop to 5th but not 4th unless your on a big incline. I have 285/70/17’s stock gears and it floated along .. the hard clunk downshift that I’d get is gone also the feeling of my tires rubbing my UCA’s or something when I let off the gas and it used to slow down quickly is gone. I have nothing but positive remarks and I’m sure everyone will be impressed. Cheers to Mat and all the testers !!!

The closest street car I know of that comes close to that is the GTR Alpha-12. 60-130mph in 3.31 seconds and 0-60 in about 1.7 seconds. And that's with air conditioning...lol...its my dream car.:hattip:

Aside from the obvious pure feat of magic that is keeping the truck in 6th gear for that long, whether on flat ground or hills, what struck me as most dramatic was the rapid increase in mpg's throughout the video. It looks as though he filled up at a gas station right at the on ramp and then got on the highway, which I'm not knocking at all. I've done the same many times and still only average 15 mpg. That said, the mpg's in the video still shot up really high, very rapidly, and I've never been able to keep my mpg meter that high that consistently. I'm very excited now.

Congrats Mat, you've cracked it and we are all in your debt. :bananadance:

Thank freaking God or should I say Matt. I was going to jump on here tonight and have a meltdown as to what first brought me to TW.

The extremely frustrating experience if running down the interstates and highways of West Virginia. I've had 104 since May and appreciate the improvements, but GD I want to sell this truck everytime I make this 6 hour drive in the mountains.

105 can't come soon enough. All I want for Christmas is a release for my dongle!

I got mine re geared last week and couldn't be happier. Just feels so much smoother. Toyota should of had the 4.56 gears to start with. Most people would have been happy with that.

Or 4.30 for the autos too, not just the MT. I'm perfectly happy with my MT gearing

I can't imagine, I get the same frustration simply driving from Atlanta to S. Florida. Basically a flat drive but the truck will downshift into 4th all the time.. drives me crazy
