This reminds me of a couple of nights on our last adventure.

 

Ugh, been there before. I woke my wife up at 2:00AM and we left because I could not sleep through it. She wasn't so happy about that...

 

Had a couple nights like that in the tent, I pack ear plugs now so I can sleep.

 

Ear plugs can help right up until the wind lifts up the ladder side and ends up with the ladder propping up that side. It is quite a challenge to get out of the tent when the ladder is vertical.

 

There was a 944 for sale in Casper a couple months ago for super cheap, was already somebody "project" though. I started binge listening to the Smoking Tire podcast the last couple weeks and find myself wanting to find a fun car.

 

Ah always wondered if that would happen. We change which side are heads are at depending on what the terrain gives us. Think the windy times we had our torsos over that part so our weight must of helped keep it down.

 

The grey one is still sitting next to that building in riverton. Figured somebody would have tried to scoop it up by now since it’s out in the open

 

Yeah, that's what I did after it happened. Some will actually take the precaution of running a tie down from the top of the ladder to the wheel/axle on that side.

 

You remember my fix then haha

Yeah I take plugs everywhere i go. Only so long that works for me though.

I found my perfect supra for sale. Guy won't respond though. Much want..

Did it to us at least twice I think. Have to check my notes ha but I out a Jerry can on the ladder and try and sleep on that side and never have had it happen.

Gfc would fix it lol

 

Ahh yes. And the result in the morning. Awning held up alright though...though it did have the ropes on it to hold it down after our earlier experience!

The GFC is tempting, but I’ll have to wait until the D4D is done. I’m sure kids will be in our future so the spending is going to change for that too.

 

No doubt. I'd like one. But need to figure out what to do with Frank first

 

What dies that entail? New wheels and grill?
