    Looking for a short notice roof rack or bed rack made in Colorado - I am local and need one by next Thursday. Really don't want to spend money on the OEM one from Toyota if I can support a TW member or local vendor. Have to make a cross country trek home for the holidays.

    Probably going to be hard to find any fabricated pieces in stock but check RCI metalworks, Hefty fab, or Slee offroad might carry some Frontrunner options if I remember right. I have a brand new Prinsu for a double cab and 40" lightbar assembled waiting to go on my truck this weekend. Make me an offer :devil:

    Pretty sure @RunsGuns and @Triggerhappy were selling used prinsu racks.

    “Rocky mountain racks” is in Colorado, but it looks like their leadtimes are 2-3 weeks out.

    I’d think your best bet is something off the shelf (front runner/baja) or used

    I was in your position. I just spent the ($300?) and put the OEM ones on. I needed the bars and I wasn't ready to put $1500 into my dream rack.

    Yea super late to getting to this unfortunately - I didn't really want to go the OEM route, but it may be my best bet at this point last minute. I had no idea the crazy lead times that some of these systems can take. Starting to lean toward a Frontrunner based on the time constraints, love the Prinsu but it wouldn't be to me until well into 2019.

    @solofowaffles I PM'd you about your rack

    Good look, lead time unfortunately will be too much for me - but I will keep them in mind for the future!

    If you're local to Colorado springs, look up Chad at wicked trail Fab. It's been a few years since I have seen his work but he did really awesome and professional quality work from his garage. I think he may have his own shop now.

    Is there any difference between the rocky mtn rack and the prinsu? How many companies make a rack that is nearly identical to the prinsu? Curious if anyone has come up with clever improvements to the prinsu design or if they are just knockoffs.

    From talking with @Ripcord about them, they're mounting system seems to distribute weight better compared to Prinsu. You can see in the below picture. Prinsu uses their side rails to mount to the cab and these have they're individual brackets. I will more than likely buy mine from them.

    Ok. What about the rack that goes on the cab. Looks exactly the same. Any advantage of the RM over the prinsu?

    @mesojdm is the only one I know that has made a 1 off prinsu style rack. It's not in production though.
