This truck made me do it. Never owned a 1/4 ratchet set. But doingbinterior work sucks with a 18 inch 3/8 ratchet. 15448332224092245716718123782199.jpg

I remember those days of getting red blow molded cases. I can recognize the knurling from anywhere!

I had one socket for doing Mercedes heads (forget which one now) the damn crazy thing was almost 200 bucks for this weird shaped torx drive 3/8" socket. I still have some volvo and VW ones too. Automotive stuff with all the stupid specialty shit they need gets really expensive. I just sold my cam holding fixture set for the ford mod motors in doing timing chains. I've got so much specialty shit I need to get rid of still. I am just trying to get down to the basics that I need since I'm not turning wrenches professionally anymore. Took me 5 yrs to come to the decision to start selling shit off.

Do you think 3/16th is necessary? I was thinking 3/16 aluminum or 10 gauge

I do have load E. The st maxx and the pro have a BEEFY 3 ply sidewall vs the normal 2 ply. It adds weight but they’re stout as fuck.
883, 884, 885, 887, 888 are all 590 lb coils but different lengths. The 886 are 660 on coils and a few mm shorter than the 887!!
No I don’t. It’s overkill but I felt 1/8” was too thin. Joe is going to make production ones out of 10 gauge steel or 3/16 aluminum as you mentioned
I love the dakars so far. I just got a new set of HD and added an extra aal. I also talked to alcan but after new u bolts and shipping I was looking at close to $950. The Dakar and aal was $550 to my door so that’s why I picked it.

Morning! Been up since 5am. On my way to rausch right now, leaky diff seal and all. I’m excited to go wheeling, even if it’s been raining all night. Will make for an interesting day, that’s for sure.

Curious to see how you like the new rear setup. You're going to be wanting to install those Kongs soon!
