You’ll be fine. Anxiety and hyperbole are only present during the first few months after purchase. TuneAlmostCompleteOnoma is rarely fatal.

    Quick question

I saw that the handhelds aren’t shipping out until later. If I order the “custom tuning package,” are these shipping right away? I’m moving in a few weeks and just don’t want it being delivered to my house while I’m not there and I’m trying to sell it.

It usually takes a while to ship so you may want to provide a note to OVTune in your purchase to ship to a friend's or relatives house so it doesn't arrive at your old home.

Gotcha. I’ll just wait and pay full price since I’m not exactly sure where I’ll be living shortly other than a city.

Buy the software only kit and then just buy the tactrix cable when you have an address to ship to.

I am extremely interested in buying a tuner kit, but I only own Apple products (iPhone, iPad, MacBook etc)
Is anyone aware of a budget friendly alternative to buying a dedicated PC laptop just for the purpose of installing this tune?

Hello TW! Current 1.04R owner, loving the tune so much it has changed the truck to the way I want it to drive! So pumped to hear 1.05 is around the corner! Will the 1.05 files automatically be sent to existing OVTune license owners or do I have to send in a request for the new files?

Also I was wondering how the "custom tune" aspect of the kit works? I actually have access to a dyno for the data logging part but not sure if it's needed. Has anyone here been custom tuned as in sending OVTune your logged data and they sent you back a custom tune?

    Awesome work, @OVTune. Thank you!

Quick question regarding one sentence in the blog:

"At this current time our EROM changes do NOT work for adaptive cruise. Sorry we are working on this!"

What does that mean, exactly? Will adaptive cruise still work, but only function with stock characteristics? Or, will adaptive cruise become disabled altogether when the tune is installed?

I took away that it will run like stock since the EROM is his extended tables. I could be wrong tho.

That was my interpretation, as well, but I figured I'd just ask for clarity.

I prefer the current (OEM) S gear mode selection method. I am usually wanting a downshift when going from D to S mode.

I have seen it select 3rd, 4th or 5th gear when going from D to S.
It's rare from me to see it select 3rd or 5th, it's normally selecting 4th.

Welcome! If this release goes how the others have, Mat will update the first post with a link to the new FileManager program version.. everyone downloads that, and from that you can choose which octane tune file(s) you want.. it’ll download through that onto wherever you save it, then you tune from there. At least that’s how I’ve remembered everything going in the past (tuned since Nov ‘17 so it’s all a blur), save for 1.04R after the TSB which I had to email and ask for.

I can’t remember for sure but I believe he will be using FileManager for customers saving/uploading data logs and it will play a big part in the custom tuning but I haven’t read much on that recently since everyone just wants the release itself! Hahaha

It works in Mac bootcamp with all Windows defender turned off. He’s probably saying that for the average joe and ease of marketing

From the looks of this pic we will be passing right near @OVTune on our holiday travel to see family when we go from Atl to NOVA....running through VA on 77 and 81...hopefully we'll be zipping by on 1.05...that's a beautiful area...

One other thing...are you still running 265/75r16s? If yes, have you implemented the speedo correction on your truck? I just ask,
cause in the video, your speed seems a couple mph slower than I would expect for those RPMs...and the slight taller tires without speed correction would explain that.
