Avoid the popular chain restaurants, as they get packed with graduates. If you like Mexican you can go to Los Tres Amigo, Hibachi Chinese grill go to Kobe’s, Firo makes some good stone baked pizza, Backporch Drafthouse has a ton of beers on tap, pretty women, and some really good burgers, and Billy sims has some good BBQ.

Edit: we really don’t have a steakhouse other than outback and Texas Roadhouse, go to outback tho. If you want the best steak of your life go to the rocking H in Temple, OK, but they aren’t open on Mondays

 

That may well be true. But I'm glad he had Basic there. Let's the wife see even more Country. We already did Jackson SC for our oldest son's Basic, then Benning GA for our middle son's basic... I was hoping our youngest would get Sill or Leonard Wood MO... When he picked an MOS that's attached to artillery, I knew we'd get to check out OK.

We only fine dine on Sunday. Lol but we do keep smoked bologna on stand by at all times. You can drive out to Medicine Park and eat at the old plantation, and it’s right by the mountains.

 

You go to one event down in Texas and have perfectly good BBQ in front of you and ask for Bolonga, you will never live it down.

 

It’s blasphemy

 

Thats not even the crazy part. This was a catered event, and the caterers did in fact, have a whole smoked bologna.

 

I'm also a construction manager in new homes. Just a heads up, buidling in dfw is totally different than other markets, even Houston and austin. We have had guys transfer in from out of state and don't make it because they are used to an entirely different building style. There is a lot of bs that doesn't need to be there.

 

So which 3 of us are going to the meet today?

 

I'm going to make it out. Should be there on time, I think.
