    Going with 4.88’s. 255/80 17 st Maxx tires for out exploring and I’ll probably throw the factory tires back on for commuting unless this gear change makes a huge difference in how it drives with the 33’s.

    I've heard 4.88's are good with stock tires on our 3rd gens. Makes the trans shifting/holding gears even better than stock. One thing to keep in mind is you would need alignments done switching between the 2 sizes.

    The balance of my shaft has been affected so far... I get some vibs at about 40-45mph... so I will be getting it re-tubed.

    I called Longview Driveshaft and they said they do retubes at $135 plus $2 per inch of the retube and the $135 includes labor and balancing of the driveshaft. If any u-joints need replacing, then extra on top of that.

    Correct, I pushed my muffler up so much it bent that bend more and it was contacting the frame, so it cut that off and redid that portion as well for me.

    Sold it that following weekend to a local guy for the price I paid you. :rofl:
