Not quite the same but I used a small usb port extender thing - USB male on one end, 3 USB female on the other and it worked just fine, flashed multiple times with it

You'll recall the dead silence for quite a while before that happened lol.

I suspect that most of the testing was done previous to a couple of us getting involved.

Anyway, we see the vids and cool stuff for the A/T.. and that's great.

    Soooo.... :notsure:

Dunno, but I'm sure MA/FO are not finished products. I mean, I appreciate having the opportunity to try new things, don't get me wrong...

I'm wondering how it'll do with 33s and 3.9s still in the truck. About to swap to 4.30s but maybe I don't NEED to... Probably still help regardless.

I think I’d still want 4.30 or bigger with the auto, especially with larger than stock tires. It’ll make the top gears much more useful.

With all due respect Matt doesn't have all the EPA, Emission and cafe (SP) regulations vehicle manufactures have to either. I glad people like Matt save our asses with aftermarket tuning and his knowledge and skills to but it kinda like comparing apples and orannges. During the previous federal administration they accellerated fuel standards so rapidly that it did put the manufacturers in a difficult spot. I am not a fan of the manufacture but the govt doesnt make it easy to make any work vehicle anymore.

I’m pretty sure the bigger isssue is trying to meet deadlines. If Toyota held the 3rd gen Tacoma 3 years to figure out how to properly tune the disaster they created, people would have lost their minds. Toyota is still crushing the midsize market even with all these “Tacoma killers” so there’s really no reason for them to go back and fix anything. They are likely putting most resources into the mid cycle or 4th generation Tacoma at this point, not trying to improve the 3rd gen.

Anyone doing any 4x4 action with the tune? I noticed in 4Lo it felt like the torque converter would slam on engagement from a slight rolling start.
