5A611864-C99A-4193-80D7-D7D33321A436.jpgI had 2 recoveries today above Wilkeson, this guy backed over a ledge last night and no one helped him until we found him at around 4pm. Second recovery was my buddies Subaru that blew a belt, towed it to the bottom of the hill, and now we’re on our way back to it with a new belt. Been a good day!

Yeah he did. Said it was cold last night, a couple other people stopped and talked to him but no one tried to help or send for help. Kinda disappointing that people would do that

I know I don’t know how you could just leave someone. Pretty shitty thing to do, luckily we decided to go up that road and found him and we’re able to help!

He was probably 10 miles from pavement but it was up a road no one really goes, and it was a windstorm last night

    Any one going this weekend?
Im still trying to decide where to go this Saturday. My options are Tonga Ridge or Stampede Pass area (fire roads between the 2 lakes)
Anyone have any conditions updates from this week on both areas?
    Thanks

I don't know about Stevens Pass, but everything around Snoqualmie / Stampede was closed for snowmobiles when we were up there last weekend. The FS roads that weren't marked as closed had heavy drifts from plows. I suppose if you can break through those . . .

    Definitely.

I thought about hitting that berm that @Flash_Adalwolf posted a few more times, but we didn't know what was further up.

I think where we tried was NF-4934?

Did you make it all the way threw on NF-4934?

No! We didn't get off of Kachess Lake Road at all. That is what you see in the @Flash_Adalwolf 's pic.

I was thinking about trying the chains that I brought along. Given that he was high centered, I don't think they would have helped.

I was hoping to get in deep, but . . .

No. I had my tank along, but it seemed to be not worth it. I had great traction on the roads roaming around the area.

My daughter enjoyed the snow and we tooled around the lake area checking out the cool cabins and such. It was a good day, all told.
