Probably under $50 so one parent doesn’t feel more special than the other. They don’t need to be high end since his current ones (that I get the privilege to use, too) are REALLY old and consist of a thin metal band with crappy ear cups that have solidified by now. I would like to get ones with FM/AM radio since he likes listening to it and we always joke around about how our current ones are nowhere close to that nice.

Does she have pictures of any of this? In NC they may have upped it but it use to be if there was ~$2000 worth of property damage or injuries on the scene then the accident was required to be reported. Other than that it was the old trustworthy deal like your wifes. Exchange info and do the reports. IMO it's always best practice to call the cops and have them do a report even if there is not any tickets handed out. It just puts a 3rd party in the middle for the accident reporting that neither party nor insurance can deny and step out of.

I use my msa sordins for pretty much anything that require ear pro. You can find them around 200 if you look. But they are quite expensive if you dont need them all the time.

She has a photo of his license and his business card. It wouldn't be worth a lawyer. The damage is very minor. A deep scratch very slight dent 2" long. In hindsight she should have called the police but it's too late for that now. We have USAA, they said we can make a claim then they would go after his insurance company but I'm really hoping it doesn't come to that.

That would probably be a little overkill for him. I was thinking like $40-50 if possible since we only really use them while riding the lawnmower, etc.

I guess there isn't much left to do then. Unless someone else knows of anything else, the moral of the story is to call the police no matter how small the damage is.

My wife has a set of howard leights. I like them but they arent comfy for hours. I also used to have a set of husqavarna radio fm ones that I picked up cheap. I dont know how much they retail at.

Sounds like I'll go with them then. My dad loves listening to the radio, so they should be perfect and I don't think comfort will be an issue since our current ones are literally a metal band with zero padding on the top. Thanks for the help!

Even for a minor one like this don't move the vehicles and take lots of pics of the cars how they sat after the accident. In NC we are a single party recording state so as long as one person agrees to being recorded you are golden so recording the conversations via the phone not necessarily video think inconspicuous. Also check your laws on that they may be different than NC.

    I didn't say I didn't recommend getting a police report. I've said I've never gotten one.

I've been in 2 accidents of someone else fault. FCPD county didn't provide one to me, I had to go through their insurance, and when I had issues, I used USAA to fight them.
