This is my favorite fireburner nicknamed TNT. BTW, I rented a 2017 Frontier and can honestly say it has nothing on the Tacomas. Steering was stiff, motor lacked balls unlike the 3.5, and the ergonomics blew chunks. I think the worst one was not being able to perform a simple U-turn! The turning radius was not functional. Okay, rant over. Super stoked I own a Tacoma.

My favorite place in my home on a cold winter night. Our main source of heat for 4000 square feet.IMG_20170110_215926_317.jpg

Ok since this thread got fired up again, I saw this and had to comment about it as it really is a great idea-

My grandfather ran a woodstove in the back of his sedan in Italy during WWII to make woodgas as fuel for his carbureted taxi.

But alas, we’d be SOL and couldn’t do that today with our 3rd Gen trucks if gas gets rationed like his was, but any carbureted pickup can:

I just have to say what a phenomenal thread this is. Unlike some of you Negative Nancy's, I appreciate a good stove. Tally-Ho

Englander. Pre catalytic type. Out of the Old Testament. Squirrel cage blower blows air up its back and across the top. Sumbitch will run you out of the house burning only a small fire. Central air doesn't cycle when we burn it. Trims our electric bill by ~$150/month in the cold months. Still fell, cut and split all our firewood with chainsaw, maul, wedge and axe. (If you gotta' buy firewood, isn't that the same as buying electricity? It costs MORE than electricity!) If it doesn't have too many knots in it I can split it as fast as I could having to cycle a log splitter. A log splitter will work you like a rented mule. Besides, it is satisfyingly primal taking a 30-inch piece of red oak and cracking it into 16-20 beautiful wedges the old way. Its the gathering and stacking I hate. Stacking firewood high where it won't fall in a high wind is an art. Country boy can survive.

I wouldn't mind coming up with some sort of wood burning stove in the garage to help make it tolerable for winter.

My Regency Pro CI2600 keeps my place around 75° too. Perfect insert. Nothing like shorts and a t-shirt when its 15° outside.

That is a nice wood stove, but it looks to be a little close to the wall and curtains. Are those asbestos curtains?
