    :fingerscrossed:

I was your age once. Read the laws rcw, and federal. You'd be amazed at what you can actually buy and possess. Buy a hunting or fishing license. That's all the license you need to conceal carry. Just keep in mind you'd have explaining to do if you claim hunting coyotes in downtown Seattle on a Wednesday night.

Yeah it’s jus the good ol want want I can’t afford right now routine. I spent the exact same amount of $ on Christmas presents for the family and friends than I did on the cheapest AR at the show. Regretting my decision.

Ahh yeah, you've got the truck, but the gun threshold it a whole nother door. Gotta pay to play, and there's stupid variables that factor in to gun ownership. I mean stupid.

It used to be that under 21 could own and possess a pistol. Due to wa state law at the time, a private seller could sell you a pistol and or rifle where a FFL was limited federally against selling pistols to under 21. Private sales in wa where good as long as you trusted the other side of the transaction to not be a felon or be disqualified as per a 4473. As far as the ATF or LEO knows I only own 2 firearms. And of that knowledge they only see that I've been processed through NICS 2x, with no record of what it was I bought.

    Nowadays too much red tape.

I wonder the legalities of buying a complete AR and then if you conveniently sold the upper/stock back >.>

    Maybe @scollins would know?
It would have to come from the manufacturer as a complete rifle. And then the shop would have to be willing accept “used” products.

Perfectly legal, but you have to find a shop that wants to have an orphaned upper hanging around. And since budget is a concern, it's probably going to be "barebones" upper that nobody wants. And the dealer isn't likely to offer you "retail value" on the upper, probably 50% or less at least. Look at what PSA charges for a "everything but the lower" kit ($300-ish.) Dealer would probably take no more than $150 off, leaving you with a "lower" that still costs $350 and is a glorified paperweight for you at that point.

The financials just don't work out for a shop to do it.
