I wish HF offered their gift cards from places other than HF.

We do a lot of shopping off of gift cards because my Krogers offers fuel points with the purchase of gift cards. During every holiday, they multiply the fuel points by 4.

A $100 gift card yields 400 fuel points. 40 cents off per gallon is nothing to sneeze at. Combine that with other cards, we always earn the max per month (dollar off 35 gal).

I emailed them a while back asking why they wouldn't sell their cards other places and got nothing but crickets.

Its no biggie, but I bet there are a lot of people that grocery shop and grab gift cards, adding HF to the mix seems like a no brainer.

    Are you listening @ericsmith ?

 I just read in the news (not fake news) that Eric Smith has hired someone that monitors this thread 24/7 and in an unguarded moment stated: " After this thread was created most of the major decisions of this company were based around the input members here give".

Profit margin. When sold in HF they take 100% of that $100. If the grocery store sells them they take a cut of the money.

I'm sure that's true. I see a lot of other stores that seem to make it work.

I think my love of those yellow gloves stems from the $0.99 price per pair and the cuts I would have received without them as well as the gripping power.

I made this thread for sharing opinions about HF tools, your input is helpful for people who may share your preference for gloves that breath better. If someone has had better results buying from another source other than HF, is why I made this thread so that information is shared.

I still haven't used this coupon because I thought the purpose was to get your friends and family to start shopping at HF and not being for the person actually receiving this coupon, who already shops there.

Dudes, the 25% coupon that ends tomorrow night works on the new road shock brand off-road lights and bars. Picked up the 14in spot flood mix for $52 instead of $70. Gonna test it soon.

The only thing wrong with that coupon is the missing word "EXTRA" before the word super.

Shit wish I would've seen the 25% coupon yesterday. Picked up a ball joint press and the sleeve kit plus some wire brushes. Cost me about 170$ going to do a lower ball joint today. Or try to. I dont believe any of the sleeves fit good. But I'll rig it to work. Haha

The 2 hammer methode works better than any ball joint press. Much quicker, too.

2 hammer method? Last time I did them I had to use a oxy/ac torch to heat the lca up and beat the BJ out. My plan is to try to do it with the lca still on the truck. Maybe.

does anyone own the Ball Joint Service Kit? I saw on the Toytec install video for the AAL. they used it to clamp down the springs. IDK if just using reg clamps would be ok...

Regular c-clamps work fine for taking apart leaf springs, if that’s what you’re asking.

Yea I have that kit. I used to do the ball joints on a '99 Ranger 4x4, they are known to be tuff to remove. I bent the $hit out of the cast "C" clamp part of the tool so bad it was unusable. I eventually put the "C" clamp in my 12 ton shop press (HF) and pressed it back into shape to be able to continue to use it. Figured I would drag it out and see if will hold up enough to do the Tacoma BJ's.
