I highly doubt the hangers are the limiting factor for GVWR. Typically it’s the brakes ability to stop the vehicle within the compliance limits. Bigger brakes might be more necessary than frame reinforcements.

Ok OP let me ask you a few questions and give a little advice.

Why 3 deep cycle batteries? What the freak are you powering that you need 3?!? I have a refrigerator, inverter, charging station for camera rigging, water pump, all of the electronics you could/should need/want in the truck and only have a need for a single house battery.

With all of the accessories you have added you are simply going to need to either
A.) rethink your setup and be weight conscious
B.) if you are going to continue to add weight to your truck then add Air bags.

C.) I see that you are in New Jersey, go to OK4WD and talk to Rin. He is good people, knows trucks and is familiar with setting up rigs that carry that additional weight

I’m probably making this sound worst than it is. I am attaching pic for reference. What do you guys think? Do you think aal will be enough to complement the dakar leaf pack hd?

No way you should be squatting if you have the true heavy duty Dakar leaf pack.

It’s because i run fridge and freezer. The freezer eats quite a bit of power. With 3 batteries i can run it 48 hrs max without recharging. Its not just that. My drawer system and my kitchen setup i think is the heaviest in there. Lots of wood

Part of your problem comes from having installed 886s in the front without the weight they are designed to support. Your front end will sag down and the ride will be a lot more comfortable once you put a steel front bumper on.

I know, cant wait for the front bumper and winch installed already to try and lower the front. The guy at the shop told me around next month the thing will be ready.

    Agree with this.

The rear isn’t sagging as much as you think. The front is jacked the hell up with no weight in it. Probably be better if you had used 885’s with that setup.

Edit: I see you’re waiting on bumper/winch combo. I’d say with the addition of swingout and RTT add the OME AAL and the front bumper should come back down to a reasonable height.

Add the ome aal. It’s cheap and easy to do and will increase your weight carrying capacity. I recently added HD dakars + aal and I have ~800 lbs in the bed. Got my rake back.

Edit: I also have 886 up front. My bumper/winch/ifs skid combo is about 270 lbs.

Hey eatsleeptacos, saw your truck featured by tacomaholic. Part of the reason why i ordered the front bumper, rock sliders, and rear bumper with single swingout at mobtown. Icing on the cake was that they are only 3 hrs drive from me and they can install everything in one day. I was gonna order all those armor all the way from cali and have them shipped.

Do air bags in the rear, it’ll be the best thing you’ve ever done I love my air bags in my first gen, it’s perfect I get to set my ride Hight and I also get to adjust how rough the rear needs to ride,

I used to throw two XR650’s in the rear with a new 450 in the middle.... seriously wish I had pictures before and after, my truck would be damn near riding on bumps but with the air bags I never notice them corners are solid with weight and the ride is near perfect, I need to do air bags to my 2nd gen,

If you continuously have all of that weight in the rear a bigger rear axle might be in order. If you use that much electricity camping a small generator might be better. My 1.8 kW Ryobi generator weights 60 lbs and you could always get a 900 kW generator that weighs around 20-30 lbs.

You need a bigger truck. Take your truck to a scale then look at you GVWR. Not sure about your laws but you get into a major accident and the weight of your truck comes into question, no insurance for you

I do have airbags with daystar cradles in there. Been running it for the past 3 years. My problem is that the airbags are oriented inward and its bending my cradle mounts. One of my cradle broke this past summer when we were up in the sierra mtns in cali. Now with the new leaf pack the cradle mount does not even fit in there anymore.
