I'm down to ride. I'm a tick out of shape after not riding much this summer and fall but there is some nice riding in SC between Poinsett, Harbison (in Cola) and FATS in Akon along with a lot of stuff in the upstate. Florence is working on a pro built trail this winter hoping to be ride-able in late spring early summer. I haven't ridden much in NC or GA yet but would love to. If anyone is looking for info on what to look for on a new bike let me know. Step one stay away from wal-mart bikes if you actually want to enjoy the sport.

So I learned to ride last year. Yes, you read that correctly.

I bought a new Trek mountain bike (forgot the model) that has everything but disk brakes for around $400 which isn’t much more than the nicer bikes at Walmart. All that to say, Walmart bikes will make you a sad panda. Bought a few for clients in my program at the same time as buying some second hand Jamis Taxis.. all of them were only used for riding to the beach or cruising around.. none of the wal mart bikes are still around.. they all suffered catastrophic damage at some point

Seems to be a lot of places hiring depending on her background. Health care seems to be booming.

Isn't there supposed to be some conglomeration of trails that runs from the upstate to the coast? I think that would be super cool.

We've got one of those in NC called the mountain to sea trail. It's a backpackers trail. There are sections of it that cut through private property though so you gotta be stealth in those areas and not piss off the locals. I don't know what it is with NC and liking to have shit on private land to cause issues :anonymous:

We are working on it too, and we have carpet. That's one good thing about a rental though!

Looks like I'm going to at least Jacksonville to get a truck. They are selling 12-14 TRD Pros for ~24-27 with good mileage.
