From first impression, it's ok for a small meal for 2-4 people. A few steaks, burgers, maybe a chicken or so. The band between hot and cool is so narrow it took way longer than a person wants to cook for more than that, and the hot wasn't really all that hot. From left to right I had 10 brats, 10 dogs and 10 burgers. From front to back is where the hot to cool ranges are. I put the brats on first that went from a carmel brown color to pink skins with barely a char mark in the first 7-10 minutes. The burgers went on next and it was about 3-5 minutes between rotating them from front to back to get them to be done at the same time. The dogs in the middle actually did what I like them to do, and that's for the ends to split without burning them. But as they other meats were being panned I brought them all more forward. Then end result was the brats being a little dryer than I like, the burgers were fine, maybe a little dry (ie not juicey and done, just done) and the dogs were what most people look for...juicy, a little snap and no burned skin/casing. I probably couldn't do a steak any thicker than 1/2" thick and have it come out like I want mine....my wife likes them a little more "done" so I could pull that off. But a "hot and fast and juicey" rare- medium rare is going to be difficult, especially over 1/2". On the other hand, slow top rack ribs would probably do fine.

Smoking is an art I haven't fully gotten into yet, but I've had smoked meatloaf...it's pretty hard to beat.

Scheduled to work till 6pm but I think noon sounds much better. The weather is great today but I'm thinking lazy afternoon watching football. It's pretty easy to leave early in December when you work at an ice cream factory. Sincerely hope everyone has a great day and great holidays! Be safe.

I've never seen one get away. I usually add a little piece of chunky peanut butter to the very center...usually just a piece of peanut from the jar.

A lifetime ago, I worked running a warehouse in San Diego, computer supplies back in the 80s.
We had mice, lots of them. There was a big field behind us.

So we tried all kids of traps. The worst was the poison, took us a while to find the dead fellers, we could smell them but couldn't see them. Might have shipped one or two to a customer.

Next worst was the sticky traps. They worked great but coming into a warehouse in the morning with the squeaks of agony, mice that had tried to roll out of the trap, fur all gone and all still alive. Not a good way to start the morning.
Snap traps always worked, a little peanut butter and, voila! dead mice.

I had one worker that would walk through the place kicking things and then show them the bottom of her boot when they ran out.

We do not have that problem IF I can keep Con from killing all of the Corn snakes .....Her habit of closing them into the sheds door jam :angrygirl: can get tiring BUT they somehow survive and once I open the door to release them....they slowly crawl back under my kindling pile and keep the "little furries" away :hattip:

Used to have a black widow problem at home. Then the lizards showed up. Ain't nature grand?

My problem is explaining to Momma which snakes are "Good"....

    The

" They are just like women, piercing eyes, aggressive and all dolled up pretty , means run like hell o_O, while round eyes, quiet ,even bashful and plain in color means they are safe"

gets me in trouble but hell...it is the truth :hattip:

I'm quite the bird lover. With that, I HATE poisons for rodents. Birds of prey eat mice with poison in their systems. Kills my birds.

    ie. Sticky traps are better.
