Were the Fiji trucks manuals or autos? That makes a huge difference in my opinion.

My intent here was to say goodbye for now to a forum that I have been a part of for over 9 years and to explain why. Too many kids here getting butt hurt. Thanks again for those who have helped me over the years... for those who also ride... ride safe. Later.

I am considering doing the same once they update the Tundra. People are saying 2020 is when they will introduce the Tundra rework to compete better with Ford,Dodge, and Chevy.

I’ve found most of TW members to be very helpful so far, and there are some excellent solutions to various mechanical issues found here. Of course many folks have a need to slam and bash others for their unique opinions, but those are easily identified and can be marked “ignore”. For the most part, those haters don’t provide value anyway and won’t be missed. My philosophy... sorry to see you go.

I believe I will go back to the VW forum and list everything I didn't like about the GTI I traded, then say "Thanks for the help." Think anyone will have a comeback or is that just a TW thing?

The Tundra definitely does not have all the bells and whistles that GMC, Dodge and Ford offers. This was actually one of the selling points for me simply because I don't use most of the tech stuff (I am kind of a dummy, I don't know how). I am interested to see what Toyota puts in the next generation Tundras as far as tech options.

    More disrespect.

Y’know, that’s not it at all, really. The forums are places for people to agree strongly, and disagree strongly. If you are conflict-averse, then an enthusiast forum will never leave you with good feelings, because there will always be a dissenting opinion. Calling everyone who disagrees with you “butthurt kids” is just a refusal to accept that other intelligent adults see the world through different eyes. You put your opinion of your Taco drivetrain out there, and others have opinions about what your choices are as well. It gives us all things to consider.

I am glad the world is this way, because if we all agreed, it would hella boring!!! We could cancel democracy at that point.

Enjoy your new truck! From one butthurt kid to another.

Are you talking about Ford or Toyota? On the Toyota side they made both automatic and manual with two sizes of diesel motors. This is for the Hilux truck. For the Rangers it was mainly the 3.2 diesel with 6 speed automatic which worked fine. Much better then toy's 3.5/6. Ford also has a new 2.2 bi turbo with automatic and 2.0 diesels. In Fiji I think its just the 2 door (non extended cab) low rider truck that has a manual. I know some Americans would love something like that. Very much like the old ranger. On the ausi site I don't see any petrol motors. Not even one. Just shows that outside the US trucks generally use diesels engines. And IMO that's for good reason. Because trucks benefit from low end torque more then cars do.

Wondering what you had in your trucks there. I like the manual transmission so that was my interest.
