Random question. I’m an idiot and didn’t realize I had two cats. Any issue with me only running one cat? Both o2 sensors will remain and so will the first cat. Don’t have smog testing out here, but I do have normal emission testing. Basically just plug into the OBD port and scan the truck. Unsure if having the second cat removed will give me codes or burn up the sensor or something.

 

Urd sell a o2 thing to trick the computer not to throw a code

Just don’t want to buy a second one is all. And the one we removed is crusty and old.

I was wondering if spacing the rear o2 sensor out would help. Done that on other cars and never threw a code.

 

Hmmmm, if memory serves me correctly they have what looks like a "plastic" core with wire shielding. So there's no fixing it. unless if you want to try to gently remove one of the connectors and apply it on the other end of the cable. But that doesn't work to well or often.

 

Don't you have 35s? 5.29 is better for 35s & auto. 4.88 is ok for 35s & manual. I've got 4.88 with 33s & auto.
