That’s awesome! I can’t wait to do that for my kids when they get that age. That’s the one thing I’ve stood strong on all along.. I’m buying a project car for my kids when they turn 13 or so and we are building it till they get their license.

Tore some ligaments in my wrist - preventing me on going on my climbing trip after Christmas. Will probably go camping instead.

Fellow upstaters - where do you usually go truck camping? I usually backpack, so I have no clue where to go for camping with the truck.

They also took my dome light....... left my wet okole covers,
husky floor mats and HID wiring. They didnt know much of anything I'm gathering because they dont have wires coming from the podlights. They ripped them out. Also tore the damaged headlight out more.

Who takes a damn led dome light? I wanted it too. But leaves 400$ seat covers and husky floor liners.

It's also the wrecking company's policy that I dont move the vehicle until my stuff was out but I was on a 72 hr work "day". Couldnt come get it all.

Good thing they have a camera that barely catches my truck........

Any of the state parks on Hwy 11 in they upstate are nice. Have camped at Keowee-Toxaway and Devils fork and been to table rock several times. As for more primitive there are sites in the DuPont forest outside Brevard. A lot of forest roads with roadside camping. I’ve been meaning to check them out for awhile now. I think @jpneely knows a lot about them.

My parents live on a ridge facing Table Rock so I definitely love it up there! Was thinking about Jocassee but wanted to see if I could get more remote. Will probably be hard to find remote near water though - want the pup to be able to swim if I can.

Devils fork this time of year isn’t as busy and feels private. I think there is a primitive campground called Mt. pisgah but I think it’s closed until the spring. It’s first come first serve type of campground but is free.

Check this site out. Plenty in WNC.
