Beadlock wheels??

Hello, I am looking to get some real beadlock for my taco. I am trying to stay with 16 in rims. Any recommendations????

How much are you willing to spend? Do you want steel or aluminum?


I have been looking at Battle born beadlocks which are on the cheaper side at about $200 each, Allieds run about $300 each, and aluminum like KMC or OMF SCS are 400$+ per wheel

 

I think only one of two companies make 16” beadlocks. Most are 15 or 17”. In those diameters everyone makes them.

 

Any price I just want to see what I can get.

Why not 17?

 

I want to keep more tire

 

Yeah just did a quick search tough to find 16" , Method has 16" in beadlock but blank wheel so the cost of wheels and drilling would be a bit higher than others. In my honest opinion you should go 17" because there is so many tire choices and more options,later down the road you will want 17". I just switched from 15" to 17" I didn't know that much of a tire difference of having more tire. Even though that's what I wanted 15 in the first place but getting tires was tough.

 

Op, just Google 16 inch beadlock and go from there. Most beadlock company avoid making 16 because of their odd size and lesser tire option from tire manufacturers. Most enthusiast who use beadlock for their intended purpose go 17 due to that reason. And 16 to 17 is not noticeable in rubber. It's not like you're going from 16 to 20 on a 31 tire.

Keep in mind that most beadlock are not DOT approve for on road use because you can't get a true balance. So you might feel a slight vibration and such. Good luck on your quest.

 

That's what it looks like that I will have to go to 17s because there is much more options.
