    How do I check that? A lot of this tuning stuff is way over my head. I'm still trying to figure out why my truck cuts out.

    Hook up your handy dandy scanner and cruise over to the PID which indicated MAF GM/ S or Grams/ Sec. Get you a nice second set of eyes, or check yourself on a nice open stretch of road what the reported readings are and report back.

    If they are lb/ s, that's fine. Just write it down and we'll convert it if need be.

    I'm getting closer to understanding my problem. If it's been raining the issue happens for sure. Like the filter gets wet when parked and causes the maf sensor problems. Didnt happen earlier this year but more now.

    Sounds like you need the splash shield for sure then. The MAF hates water.

    Magnuson SC, 2.5 pulley, hptuner, FPR mod, AFE Intake, URD longtube headers, JFR Y-pipe, 255 Deatschwerks, 76mm TB, Banks 3" exhaust, cam gears
    On the handheld click Engine Diagnostics -> Real-time data, then click on the MAF line. Unfortunately the handheld does not record any logs so you have to watch the scanner during your WOT run

    Ok. I'll try to do that later today. No promises though. If this hiccup interferes nobody is going to see max anything. Except max frustration for me. Dont want to spend another 400.00 on another intake to see if it might fix this.

    I drove for months without one, and no problems ever. Then I bought the hydro sock. That piece of crap only made it worse. Guess I'll be buying the afe intake.

    It sounds as if the "hydro sock" is impeding airflow and hardly protecting rather than helping improve things. Remove it and drive it to see if it changes the way the truck is reacting. Process of elimination bud. :thumbsup:

    I did. Things were better. Rained all weekend and I didnt drive. Must have had water dripping on it so my commute this morning was not boosty.

    Does the roush tensioner require any modifications to fit? or can it be something that bolts right up?

    It sounds like the pulley has to be transferred over from the stock tensioner and some sort of spacer used to make up for a shorter pulley bearing support on the Roush.

    Just changed from the bullydog tune to 93 octane OVTune tune and had my first drive this morning. Noticed the engine sounds/feels smoother under acceleration and my afr's went from acceptable to around 10 or below under WOT (think my Aem guage won't go below that number).

    Just emailed nate at pulley boys and gonna try the 2.3 pulley since it'll prob match up well with what I got at the moment! Also need to order a Roushe tensioner and green belt.

    The post for the pulley on the Rousche tensioner is shorter than the post that the stock tensioner pulley sits on.

    I would try the shield before swapping out intakes. I had the shield setup on mine wrong, and it was causing water to run back onto the filter, and then it would sputter and fall on it's face when the MAF had water going over it. I tilted the shield back some, and it made the water run over the back side of the filter, and mine no longer gets wet or has issues.. I can get some pics if need be.
