I'd throw some washers in to space that down a little if you can.

Yeah. I got some work to do on this truck the list is adding up. Sadly it’s a DD as my work’s steering rack took a shit. Probably going to take some sick time in november and get this thing all caught up.

Maintenance is a snowball lol. Abused the truck for the last year, then ended up spending around $600 on maintenance before my dunes trip a few weeks ago.

    Got to do this
    IMG_3187.jpg

    Then bought the dd
    IMG_3224.jpg

    So I could do this

Nice! I hope this means more boost for the taco since you have a DD now!

Currently accepting funding. Willing to go ovtune with a 2.5 pulley, no more. Can't afford anything more.

I one day hope to have the 2.5. I may have to settle for the 2.7 though

If you're cutting the snout you might as well go small on the pulley

My main thing is I am not sure I trust the trd injectors to be safe at that much boost. I wish ovtune was still out here so I could have picked up some 61 lb injectors so he could make a tune for them. That would have been perfect.

At your altitude you would probably be fine, but when you go to lower elevations you might run slightly lean. I know people with the trd tune running the 2.5 do the boost referenced fpr and seem to be ok. I just love my ovtune man I don’t wanna go back to the trd tune haha.

Lol yeah, hopefully he starts to develop some more tunes for more popular mods such as smaller pulleys.

While I am doing my maintenance today I have confirmed the front skid plate was making the popping noise

Overthis last weekend I modified my skidplates to prevent the front diff from contacting, and also noticed my ypipe burned a good spot into the trans skid plate, so I spaced it down more.

As you can see my skid vs the skids rci sells now, it seems this is issue has been remedied.

Here is a pic from where the ypipe was hitting the skid

You can see one of the flat bars I made to use as a spacer. Still added some washers everywhere, but made two of those bars one for the very front of the ifs skid and one for the back of the trans skid. I used 2 washers and longer bolts for the center connection.

And to top it off I finished with install two baja designs squadron pros to replace the very worthless Amazon fogs I had in there. Crappy pic I snapped before leaving to work this morning.

Also I think I am gonna just sell my fiberglass fenders. I really wanted to install them I just don’t think it’s gonna work out for me.

The rear fenders I assume since the fronts are already installed? Honestly I ran my truck with just front fenders for a few years and it didn't look bad at all. Only added the rear when I went sua and gained a bunch of uptravel. But even then I trimmed up my stock ones so they clear tires for rock crawling so I don't have to worry about scratching them up

I actually don't have the fronts installed, I took them off and never finished them. I just needed to drill one more hole on them. I think I’ll just sell all 4 corners. It’s mostly just not wanting to deal with fiberglass because I know eventually they will start cracking and stuff.

With proper prep, they will last pretty long. My fronts are like 5yrs old I think. But they won't last as long as stock and are an added maintenance item to keep them looking good

Yeah. Honestly I am too into detailing, using my pressure washer and foam cannon and what not. I know if the paint chips then I wouldnt be able to use it anymore. I figure I will just get a dremel, clean up the edges on my fenders and get some better weather stripping and call it a day.
