Essentially yes. just scraping away powder coating so the ground transfers through bare metal and not the powder coating. (Through the stud, through the metal of the bracket, through one of the mount bolts, into a wire, that is then connected to my frame.) All in all I am just bypassing grounding to the bed frame because most of the bed is composite and wont act as a ground.

I had SWR readings all over the place and couldn't get a solid transmit until I scraped the powder coating. It really looks nice and Rago and many other bracket makers do a tremendous job designing and building these things but in the end its gotta work and powder coating just doesn't help the grounding process.

Yea, after posting yesterday I came to the conclusion there was no way around scraping off the powder coat haha. I think at this point I'll just use the fire ring and set it up the way it's supposed to and see how it turns out. I can scrape more and add ground straps later if need be (most likely it will I would assume).

Read through one of my threads, Its pretty short (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/cb-swr-changes-with-mic-location.567328/) if you experience any of the issues that I was walking through with a few other members you will know immediately if its a grounding issue or not.

Shout out @jboudreaux1965 and his buddy for helping me out.

Yeah they provide a 2.75'' lift in the rear. I bought the EL095R springs made for an extra 330 lbs.

No I didn't remove a leaf, they came 4+2. I'm pretty happy with the ride considering I have no extra weight in the rear. I bought the EL095R springs

Made some changes in the bed area. Also noticed, now that the weight of my cap is off the bed, that my front bed bolts are loose. I should see if I can back them out without breaking them, throw some anti-seize on them and tighten it back up. I couldn't figure out for the life of me where that rattle was coming from, now I know.

Had windoors added to both sides of our Jason topper when we ordered it last spring. Most useful $400 we've spent on the truck thus far...

    Yeah I saw your thread!

I will most likely be using some angle like you mentioned. I’ll see what I can come up with tonight when I go to work.

Love the last pic, that oil bouncing back up is mesmerizing....
quick question, Did you use the same sevear gear oil all throughout? I'v been reading up on this as I have to change my fluids as well. I know the T-case is GL 4/5, the Rear diff is GL5 same as the front, and the tranny calls for GL4. Any cold weather ( below freezing ) driving? I know you are in FL but figured I'd ask.

I'm at the point where I Think I've read too much, and just need to get'r done, and stop being so nit-picky
