OvTune now. Never had trd but the bulleydog tune I did have was supposedly a tweaked trd tune.

I think I'm safe cause of 3400' elevation, larger supercharger coolant reservior and higher flow pump and running 94 octane. @12TRDTacoma has been running the 2.3 for a while.

Famous last words lol "I think I'm safe..."

I'm just excited to see what kind of power you make with that combo.

Does it require modifications? No, should it be modified? I would strongly suggest doing so. For both peace of mind and reliable longevity.

Inner race sleeve to make up the difference in gap between the inner support sleeve and bolt itself.

Be careful man. Just because it worked for me doesn't mean it will for you. You are OVtuned, so it should be okay, especially since you are higher elevation.

You boys should really run an internal sleeve to make up for that lack of inner race support. Definitely you @Roostfactor .

As much power as it takes to drive the blower under boost I would hate to see your pulley bearing destroy itself like happens on some Cobra's. More than likely due to that very same reason.

Thanks for ruining my day. And it's red also. The color of hell. Right where those cars came from.

It's fine. The flared head of the pulley bolt keeps the bearing centered. I agree a taller sleeve would be ideal but more work than it's worth and it works fine and is solid as is.

Jerry Magnuson was my Grandfather. I always love coming across posts about the Magnuson Superchargers because I feel like it's his little way of saying hello! It was really cool coming across this post this morning, and thinking about the memories I have of being in his shop in Ventura. Life is short, have a beautiful day :)

Last battery/cranking update for me: the alternator and starter checked out well within norms. Even though my battery tested “good” it BARELY cranked this morning so I could drive down to the auto garage. My gut tells me it’s a lemon battery so I’m gonna not drive the truck for a couple days, hand carry the battery in for testing and let it fail so I can get a free replacement under warranty.

My family has been going to this garage for 18 years, they are a good place. Unfortunately there is a “new” front desk manager that everyone seems to not like (I didn’t know this before my experience today) but he told me that it’s a common misbelief that cold weather hurts batteries saying “batteries love cold weather and even hot weather.” I included even 32* and below? to which he said yes. And I asked even about cold cranks and the amps required. He didn’t budge. To top it off, he had designer bedazzled jeans (butt pockets were) which does nothing in my mechanical argument but it’s hard to take this particular guy serious now. I will make sure I do business with the head guy that we’ve worked with since his shop was a 2 door garage (it has grown to over 14 bays now, which is a great thing).
