Now we are getting somewhere. The goal of this search for others is to find alternatives to make a build complete.

Drilling a snorkel hole in a buddy's paper-plated 200 series was the highlight of my modding career. :sawzall:

I like the look and function of a snorkel. I didn’t understand the benefits of driving in dust with one until recently.

Definitely not my style. Looks like an arm curled with a sock on the hand. Looks good to someone.

Well that depends on entirely what is considered complete. 90% of modifications are bolt on and dont require significant changes to the truck but the other 10% (snorkels, bumpers, CMC, etc) do.

I’d like to think they opted for function over form...

Thread title should be more like "I'm a little sissy with big opinions and here's 3+ pages of proof, and my idea of a build is I must be able to buy it and pay someone to bolt it on"

If I saw that monstrosity in person, I'd have to bleach my eyes out, and there wouldn't be much function in a blind man owning a vehicle.

I do my own work. From welding tig, mig, fuck stick, rebuilding an engine, wiring, fabrication, I do it all. I’ve done good shit and made a fuck ton of mistakes along the way. After all the years of doing this time of work on my car and others, I’ve learned what is preferable to me. I’ve done alterations that were irreversible and wanted to change it later to something else, but couldn’t. If you did all your own work as well to that extent, you’d get why I want my own build to be as such. I appreciate your input nonetheless.

If you didn't cut, weld, drill or otherwise irreversibly modify, you didn't build shit. Just saying.
