Waiting for '08

I just ordered an '08 a couple weeks ago. It was already preferenced by another region and my dealer traded for it and said it should arrive in about 6 weeks! For some reason they had a hard time locating the combination of a double cab, short bed, offroad package with a 6spd manual? In the meantime I have been looking around at all the mods available. I don't think the stock suspension or stereo will last long

 

I think I will definitely do a 3" Lift with 285/75/16 tires on the stock rims. For the lift I am thinking of going with the ToyTec, it seems to have received a lot of good reviews. I am still debating between the added leaf spring vs. the spacer though?
As for the stereo I am not sure, I think I will upgrade all the speakers and add one 10" subwoofer all powered by an external amp. I think I will most likely go with the new Eclipse AVN head unit with the 7" displays. I have seen some pics of this on the site and it almost looks like it came from the factory with the aftermarket silver double DIN face plates.

 

Welcome! Post some pics as soon as you get your '08. Toytec looks like a good choice, I'm looking into putting a 3" Toytec lift of mine when my current tires wear out. Go with the add a leaf for the rear, as for the front spacers or new springs is the question. I've not decided on that yet either, leaning toward springs, even if they sag in a few years I'll just replace them, their not that expensive.

 

Does any body know what the improvements in the toys ‘08 are?

 

Unfortunately all the dealer knew was that the price would slightly increase. They told me that it would not incrase more than 2% overrall. Other than that they said they would remain unchanged. I can't help but wonder if the color choices may have changed. The one I am going to get will be dark blue (Indian Ink Pearl) When they searched the data base they did not find any different color codes but they may not release any new colors until later on.
