Well that sucks. I wish I had more time to finish my work haha and still do other things. I still think 32 hour day would be ideal..

My job is nothing but creativity.

I think GFC is hiring

    So sweet.

When's the FMIC go in and more boost? :p

Can you do mine next? That'd be great thanks

Find one and I’ll help you get it in. Not sure on the FMIC, think there are plenty plug n play chips overseas I can order for more power in the future.

Be more efficient. Be cool to mount right behind the grill like the other turbo guys

And maybe haha probably do a 2jz first.. but rolling coal would be sweet!

Friend works at a body shop so my plan is to go with the skewp on the hood. I’ll go front mount if the hood isn’t going to close but so far it looks like it will be fine

Ah the 4runner scoop mod is nice when done well. Gotta build a shroud for it too

Yeah not sure how it’s going to work yet, let the pros handle the metal work. Maybe just put some adhesive foam underneath to create a seal. How much more efficient is a front mount? I guess I just assumed they did that because a top mount wasn’t an option and front mount kits are easy to get ahold of.

They can be a lot more effective.
    A) the intecooler can be bigger
    B) it's not getting heat soaked by the motor by being on top
    C) more direct airflow generally

Downside is you can see a bit more lag as the tubing is increased and can see pressure drop too with bad ones

Ah, yeah I suppose if I was going for max HP I would look into it more. I like that it’s on top and not down low too. Feel like since it will be for off-roading, less things can destroy it being up high. Can’t be all that bad since Toyota has been putting them there for years.

nah same for subies. Its not bad, just not as effective and a hell of a lot easier to mass produce.

Yeah, just easy to package. Too small and heat soaks easily.

Turns out heat rises, who'd have guessed that

I mean a little seepage is fine. Grease is getting moved around as the joint is. A lot isn't great though. Likely not causing any harm right now though with that low of miles and the way you drive it.

I’m guessing it’s filled to the brim the first time and then some squished out and just sits there. Maybe a little more the few times it’s been really articulated.

It cold be analogous to the stock CVs. They are so full of grease that when lift is added, running at an increased axle angle all the time, it can push some grease past the small end of the boot. Doesn't hurt anything, just looks bad.

Nothing, just need a shorter input shaft, so I can either buy one and open the trans up to swap them or the R151 has the shorter shaft already(depending on year I think) also has slightly different gear ratio than our R150, lower 1st gear.

Hmm i was under the impression that the early early r150 had a short shaft. But maybe the guy with the supra swap used a r151.

I'm sure they are some in the junk yard in Powell.
