The first time I got a CEL was about two months after I ran the filter, always for a P0171 which indicated the MAF. After that I would have to clean the MAF every time I did an oil change and it was always covered in carbon and oil.

I chased a vibration on my truck for years, and ultimately it ended up being my muffler. Get your truck to start shaking, put the ebrake on, and look underneath at your muffler.

I started a thread about it here where I wen't through all other options. I did replace the motor mounts and trans mount since they weren't in the best shape.

Would’ve never suspected the exhaust. I’ll take a look.

That’s interesting. I’ve never seen it used outside of computer monitors.

It is nice since longer or shorter cables are easy to get.

    I have mods
Oh the joys of changing coolant! I'm about 1/2 of the way done with a complete coolant flush and change from the green stuff that was in the truck when I bought it. Putting Zerex Asian car red stuff in.
    1. Green stuff drained from radiator and block - Done
    2. Refill with distilled water for initial flush to get as much of the green crap out as possible - Done
    3. Run engine for 20 minutes, burping the system and then let cool - Done
    4. Drain radiator and block again - Done
    5. Refill with distilled water and Prestone engine flush and degreaser - Done
    6. Burp system and drive around town for an hour or 2 with the flush/degreaser/distilled water mix
    7. Drain flush/degreaser/water mix from radiator and block
    8. Fill one last time with distilled water to make sure the system is as clean as possible
    9. Run engine for 20 minutes, burping the system and then let cool
    10. Drain radiator and block one final time
    11. Final refill with Zerex Asian vehicle red premixed coolant and monitor for the next couple days
There was definitely sediment starting to build up in the system. Lots of what looks like sand in the bottom of the drain bucket. And I can see some build up in the pipes that you can see via the fill cap on the radiator. Hopefully the Prestone flush is able to dissolve and clean most of that crap out. The radiator internals do look pretty good otherwise. It's a Denso unit so I assume aftermarket but I have no idea how old it is. Timing belt, water pump and thermostat were replaced by the PO about 6k miles ago.

Picked up my pops 2001 tundra to drive while my gear are getting done. I think I’m going to have to take this truck from him when he gets a new one. Rides so nice. 108k on it, 4x4 trd

They’re arguably better all around work trucks. It’s amazing how much of a price difference there is on the used market.

They are much cheaper! They are bigger tho. Not ideal for wheeling. But his is completely stock. Just did the timing belt and replaced the suspension. The 4.7 V8 is nice too. I’m thinking if I can grab it up that will be my around town truck and hauler.

I was QUITE impressed with the Hella H4 conversion housings and included bulbs. $90 on Amazon. Built my own harness upgrade. I liked the housings so much I bought another set and put them in my son's XJ last night so he can see and be safe. I haven't even upgraded the harness in it, and already it's a huge difference in light output, and I replaced the h6054 sealed beams recently.
