To be clear , is a 2016 with 04B04 AT the same as the 04B04 2017 AT ?

    Yes.

lets all pray Toyota doesn't make a bunch more ECU versions or start TSBing 2019s. This patch requires me to read through assembly to find and modify instructions in the ECU! The less different versions the better lol
EROM Ignition Patch for the MT is *slightly* different than the AT, as the MT can get much higher loads at low RPM than the AT can due to... control of gears.

Also important to note your ECU ID will CHANGE for 1.05.

And that means what for us? It will show as a non factory installed ECU?

Correct, so it would be best to flash back to stock when going to the dealer for major work.

I got the most recent TSB for high altitude stumble. I am ready for 1.05. The video of it Mats truck diving in 6th on the highway and not dropping to 4th while accelerating + cruise control working. It is like a dream come true!

I am glad my dealer didn’t give me any trouble with the update. 100EAD04-33B8-4283-8B49-EF89B949F06B.jpg

    Stock for now
Just received my tracking number today but package hasn't shipped yet.... how long before 1.05 is released? Should I do 1.04 and then 1.05 or just wait for 1.05. Not that it matters as I still dont have my truck back from the dealership for my 30k service and the repaint they had to do under warranty. Going on week 3 of them having it

Ok, so the stock file you will furnish will restore the ECU as it was when it left the factory with the ECU ID linked to our VIN# ?

Is the factory P5 .bin file that we dump with the READ command the only one we need to flash back to stock, or is there more to it than that?

Can someone help out a newb? What do the different letter and number combinations mean? I Googled it and couldn’t really come up with much.

It’s your current ecu calibration. You can see it from some mobile apps or with tech stream or pcm flash
