I think I have all the food groups here

 

Because I always stall when it comes to stopping. Every time I drive a Manual, I have that panic when a car pulls up behind me and end up killing the car.

Yeah everyone seems to think traffic with a manual is the end of the earth as they know it. I've never once even been fatigued just a little by driving in traffic and I've done it a lot. I even put a Tyler proof clutch in the Z that's has almost no engagement zone, it's basically binary and I've driven them like that and even that's fine after you get used to it. It's all about getting to know the vehicle, once you've done that you forget that your doing most if the stuff until you wanna drive sporty.

If things are going really slow I usually just let up on the clutch a bit every now and then to keep it rolling at a couple mph or put it in 2 low if I'm being really lazy

 

Just not killing it at lights.

It's funny because after getting used to heavy clutches with narrow engagement windows they are preferrable imo.

 

Everywhere. I fix fridges.

 

I just do a constant burnout in traffic. Keep the wheel speed up and you'll never stall.

 

I remember. How does your job work? Is there a mile/area range you are limited to? And not an 8hr a day job? You have to finish all your assigned jobs for the day before you can go home? Do you get to drive your work van home?

 

Hell, with my mashed potatoes stock clutch I sometimes wonder if I even know what the hell I'm doing

 

can you fix the AC on my truck? the bumper rubbed through one of the condenser lines

 

Thats what made me get good quick. Living on a hill took care of the other big problem most have. I had to learn stick if I wanted to use my dads truck. My moms car wasnt an option really as she worked later.

 

yeah that's what I hate about squishy clutches, they usually have a super wide engagement window lol

Once I could start reliably on flat my dad took me to a hill and made me keep practicing until the clutch didn't hardly slip the tiniest amount before I took off. Made me very good about keeping my clutches healthy, even when starting with a trailer. Now the only time I slip is on purpose going over obstacles off-road. I like a good heavy clutch
