So, I thought I'd like this topper. What I didn't know was:
-It made the cab way quieter. Not by a little, a lot.
-It made my truck ride better. Like it didn't have enough weight back there or something.
I absolutely love this thing, and had to share it with someone.

Good to know. I have the same cap that came in weeks earlier than expected for my 19 that isn't quite here yet. Excited to marry them.

Nice cap. I’m in the market for one too and the 100xq is my favorite.

It is a very nice shell. I have the X-R because I wanted the screened windows. A nice upgrade is to attach a keyless entry.

I did quite a bit of research and called every place within driving distance. It is the top of the line with every option.
And the 100xq is the only one actually designed for the 3rd gen taco. 32 hundo. Worth every dollar.

Just out of curiosity, what do you mean when you say it was designed for the 3rd gen? I always though the xr, xq, etc were the same except windows. Does it somehow fit differently?

TRD Exhaust, Mobtown bolt on sliders and aluminum tailgate reinforcement, Reverse lights changed to yellow turn signals, LED pods added for reverse, ADD W1 oil catch can, Total Chaos bed reinforcement, rear diff breather to taillight mod, 12" combo led bars behind lower grill wired to high beams, Toyota led bed light kit, 400 watt anytime mod, SSO slimeline front bumper.
They are great canopies. I have the XQ also trying to get it to be as wateeproof as the Leer I had on my 2nd gen though. Along with trying to source a red brake light, can't stand the clear one it came with.

I think it's more the styling. If you notice all the other toppers look more stock, uniform. I spoke with a sales rep. From leer and he was telling me. Look at the window slant that matches the rear window on the cab. The cutout for the cab break light. It just fits perfectly.

I like the clear on the white, but didn't like it on the black one I saw.

Agree on white it would be good, on red I like red.

We loved it too but couldn't justify the price, we kept getting quoted close to $2k

Hopefully Leer fixed their qc on the 100xq since '11. Make sure to do a water check on the third brake light. Mine was a waterfall due to the hole being larger than the gasket.
