Get over it. Many of the mods on here are cosmetic. Whatever makes you happy. To each his own.

Mod complete, I ended up taping the edges like Savethewheels suggested. I did use the mini hacksaw for a bit, but the file did work easier. Definitely need to be patient when filing. I’m really happy with the way they look and they are super bright, I tapped them into the fuse box but I may look into splicing it into my DRLs.

You have to also trim the back side for the clips to grab good (red circle). I just followed the line you see (yellow arrow) and it was the perfect length.

I just put the add-a-circuit to power outlet 1 by your feet. They turn on and off with the truck. Works for me and it was easy.

Valid points. Just my 2 cents. While obviously the Raptor started this trend and there’s a claimed function due to that truck’s width, I don’t think these lights look out of place on Tacomas at all. Especially on the Pro grille if they’re spaced out correctly. Back in the late 90s I had a lighted cab visor installed on my 4Runner. It had a row of amber lights just like these. Didn’t serve any particular purpose but I loved the look of it. I guess lighted cab visors went out of style because I don’t see them anymore haha. Anyway, I think Raptor-style lights on a Tacoma adds a subtle touch without being too in your face.

Mine are coming Thursday. The idea of having it come on with the truck is turned on is cool, like the better than just when headlights are on. I saw in another thread they had to cut off the add a fuse then resplice it to fit thru firewall, did you have to do that or were you able to get it thru as is?

My grandpa had these lights first in his tow truck. If you want tow truck lights, get a tow truck

I just installed the kit from YotaLEDs. I tried to tie the add-a-fuse into the DRLs since it was a 10 amp fuse but the raptor lights were always on, even when truck was off. That won’t work, so I just tied them into the headlights. Would prefer to have them on when the truck is on or with the DRLs. Anyone have insight into why the DRL option won’t work? Or if there is an option to use the Add-a-fuse to get the lights to remain on with ignition? Thx!

I chose to pass it trough the hole the hood latch wire(I think) goes through. So I had to cut it and re splice it. Not bad, one connector and some heat shrink.

Would prefer mine come on with the DRL or even the Fogs.
The vendor mentioned something about the LOW Beam fuse making them work with the DRL but I haven't tried it yet.

DRL goes via relay in smaller box under the hood.
My truck does not even have a fuse in that slot.
You best option under the hood is to connect to headlamps Low (right of left) if you want to control grill lights.
I think Tail fuse inside the cab may give you an option to work with DRL. Side markers are on this fuse and on my truck they are on with DRL..

Vendor posted an update video that shows how to route the Add a Fuse through the bottom of the fuse box. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kK5IBYQhmlg
Rerouted mine a moment ago, and this new way is definitely far superior to running out of the side of a mostly closed fuse box.

Got mine today, just used 2nd row and add a fuse install for now and was very easy. Even got my first wave from a fellow Tacoma after installing, my Jeep friend was jealous
