Toothbrush in gasoline. It's how I got it off my tires in high school. Pretty easy

My OR actually came originally with a OEM pro grille installed. I sold it to a guy for his OR grille and $250. I just didn't like the pro on a non pro truck... Just cheesy to me. Also from the side with the pro grille it looked like my truck had an overbite. Plus everyone has a $100 pro grille now. Just takes away the cool factor to me.

Take it off and just lather on WD40 then rinse. Easy as that.

You’re dealer installed the Pro grille?

I'm guessing it was bought used and the previous owner had installed it.

Wow! Unless I’m misremembering, this is the first time I’ve heard of a dealer installed a Pro grille on a new 2018-2019 Tacoma.

Wow that is super surprising. Especially considering they would have to recalibrate the TSS sensor. Did you ask for that as part of the deal?

I like that. I probably would have left the Toyota emblem gray for a little contrast but I still like it none the less.

I plasti-dipped my stock chrome grill when I first got the truck, haven't had to touch it since then after almost 50k miles. Love it!

Yes they did recalibrate it when the pro grille was installed before I picked it up and they also recalibrated after I put a stock OR grille back on. It was factored in as part of the deal since I originally went to buy a pro but after driving both (and not wanting a sunroof) I couldn't justify the price different. I went with a TRD off-road with tech package. After getting the truck home the grille felt and looked cheap and saw a few trucks with the black bezel on the stock grille and I was sold. Plus every guy with $100 has a "pro" now. Real turn off for me.

Well I commend you on the deal you worked out as well as being able to turn down a Pro! I went in looking for a Pro but they legit had a waiting list and the only Pro they had that wasn’t spoken for was not the color I wanted, didn’t have the premium sound system, and was manual so it didn’t have crawl control. I couldn’t justify the price for not having everything I wanted, so I bought the OR and plan on turning it into a Pro gradually overtime. I don’t “overland” or anything so I don’t need a crazy lift, once in a while off roading is as crazy as I currently get. I just want the upgraded factory Fox suspension.

For anyone that may be contemplating it, removing the chrome badges was easy and came out looking great. It was a great complement to the black bezel. I know it’s been well covered, but I’m going to do my own quick write up on what I did because I couldn’t be happier with the results. There isn’t even a hint of them being there before.

I did the same. I also removed the vinyl off my B pillars.

That I won’t be doing, I really like that, especially once I get the front windows tinted. Do you have any pictures? I can just barely see it in the earlier one.

I've just never been a fan of vinyl. Hard to get off the longer it stays on, paint is going to look different under the vinyl the longer it stays on, but I did like the way it looked. I just didn't like waxing around it and knew it would have to come off sooner or later anyways because vinyl isn't made to stay on a vehicle indefinitely.
