Anyone have issues with their windshields? I only have 12.5k miles on my truck & all of a sudden I have a hairline crack at the center bottom of my windshield. I don't recall getting hit with a rock while driving. I was wondering if anyone had similar issue.

Any flexing or off roading that could have
caused stress due to possible flex such as a
turn at an angle (incline) while off road?
Possible that the windshield was installed
with pressure that was too much at the base.
One thing for sure, that is a weird situation.
Only other possibility is temperature change.

I don't do any off roading what's so ever. I highly doubt the warranty will cover it.

Cracked my original after about 20k miles, had it replaced before inspection was due... got another crack from a stray rock on the new one a month later. It hasn’t gotten bigger, yet.

It's the cheapining of manfacturing, I was so thrilled with how clear my first new car windshield was 2013 GTI, rock chips in the windshield , 2015 TDI rock chips, wife's 2012 focus, samething chips and nicks. I don't remember having that issue with my 92 Toyota pick up, 79 Celica, even 01 f150.
Most expensive vehicle to date less than 1000 mi on odometer nothing for 100 yds in front of me, I'm in the slow lane, car passes me kicks up a rock comes accros from the driver side, big ass chip in upper right side windshield.

I do but I’m like 90% highway. All of the cracks came from highway.

They’re pilkington. The same glass is on my 2017 4Runner and had zero problems.

I’m thinking windshield angle and stuff may have something to do with this.

Cracked mine at 6K. Rock from road construction. Out of pocket since deductible is $500 and replacement was $350. Free from insurance only if it's a repair. Non OEM Pilkington. I tried going to the dealership, but all 4 in the immediate area outsource the work.

Cool thanks. I'm getting a new windshield installed on Thur under warranty. The windshield has developed air bubbles along the top of the glass.

Lost my original at 250 miles due to a rock hit, and the Fuyao glass that replaced it has about 88k miles on it. It took a few formidable hits on the highway, and no notable cracks or chips to be seen. There is some accumulated pitting (lots of minor stuff) after all of these miles, so I will probably replace it within the next year or so.

88k miles is not bad for a windshield. better than 12.5K miles
