Ok Lair I need your input 14" King smoothie non RR or w/ RR
No RR is $374 ea.
RR is $419 ea. (but may be a little more due to needing a non std fitting for the RR) plus will need to either fab up or buy brackets to mount the RR

 

I thought RR's come with the little weld on brackets and then you use hose clamps to mount them to those brackets.

IMHO, not a big difference cost wise and you have the extra oil to keep them running cool. I would go RR's.

 

I would also go rr. Really no reason not to. You can get weld on reservoir brackets for cheap.

 

Not when you are ordering just the shock itself. If you get them for a vehicle they'll come with them but just as standalones nope they figure you'll be making them or figuring out the mounting situation.

 

The price difference seems to be very minimal to skip out on the RR. The gentlemen above said it best. Weld on braket and you are set.

 

Order the optional scuba set up as well.....


Btw, you already get high centered as it is. More drop isn't going to help that is it??


I would do the buy a shortbed mod.

 

If I had the droop that my new set up is going to have I would have had traction on that rock you tugged me over and a few other places I have gotten twisted up. Even though where I got HC it still wouldn't of helped because of that damn bolt.

 

I'm not too concerned about the bracket deal.

Hell yeah, that's what I was thinking screw worm clamps! The industrial ones are super strong.

 

The added weight of the paint will cause me to tip on sharp turns.
