Some of us have painted fender flares. :p

I waxed my gasshole. Sure it's nice and smooth now, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Or no flares at all (SR). I think it's a great idea given how easily paint is scratched these days.

That being said, I've found there's just enough room in the cap tether to hang it from the gas door clip.

The wire that holds the gascap on is bent in such a way that I assumed it was ment to be hokked onto the little clasp that generally holds the outer cap closed. That's where I put my gascap while refueling.

That said, I do love the name Gasshole.

For me, I like to support people and products that solve a "problem" or annoyance. Yes, you could just let the cap fall and dangle by the plastic retainer, but I don't like to do that. I would rather have it tucked somewhere. Plus, I took OFF the plastic hanger part so it is not in the way to screw the cap back on. It is a personal preference. One can argue that most mods that folks do are not necessary, but those folks enjoy the changes and I like to support ingenuity.

I just hang the cap cord on the door clip, and it keeps the cap off the paint.

It’s like illegal in Oregon to fill your own gas or something isn’t it?

Edit: apparently some of the restriction has lifted in certain areas

Had a plant manager boss once who definitely could be described as a gasshole. We just shortened it up a bit.

So your gas cap doesn’t dangle on the side of your truck.

And for when TW members get lonely during the Holidays.

I just discovered these in another thread this morning. Thought it was a joke at first.

Never really gave much thought to my gas cap which hangs off that lanyard but since the price is reasonable and it’s supporting a small business I’ll probably buy one eventually.

You can move the laynard over to the outer hole or it reaches just fine to hang it from the gas door clip where it is and spend your mad money on something else. ;)

I used to do this, until I bumped the cap and it slammed down against the paint (too many times).
Now I stick in my Gasshole.
