I'd have to say it has a lot to do with driving style. Your're not going to go anywhere very quickly with 35s and stock gears but your hwy RPMs and MPG would be nice. I'm fairly confident I would shank someone to get 300 MPGs to a tank soo.... :duel:

You are putting more stress on the drivetrain when you are under load. Especially when wheeling loaded up. I'm sure it would be okay for some time as long as you're not using the truck as a rock bouncer but I would personally use the transmission gears to my advantage a lot more and 4Lo whenever I had doubt.

300 miles per tank? wow i average 220

its not uncommon for me to get under 200 as well

i have zero complaints on 35s with stock gears

    enough to have fun
agreed. at Rausch Creek here in PA there are lots of rocks, and wet rocks, where tires have no traction then suddenly all the traction, so wheeling would be my concern really haha

It’s cause I drive so dang slow. My 0-50mph is honestly around 20-30 seconds, and I let off throttle super early and just roll around everywhere haha. The rotating mass is what does it.

Yeah, I suppose you're right. If I drive like that my mileage is ok too. Plus if I keep it in the 55-60 range I do pretty well. But trying to keep up on the 75-80 mph speed limited freeways around here...ugh.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. 33s and 4:56 life. I'm confident when I do go 35s I'll get better milage on the hwy.

Dude! MONSTER JAM!!! I love monster trucks. My dads cousin Josh drives Brian Deegans Metal Mulisha monster truck when he’s not racing it. If someone in your family doesn’t wanna go, I’ll let you take me :D:thumbsup:

I have no idea how he got into it but my dads 2 cousins who are brothers have always been into racing all their lives. Trophy trucks, circle dirt cars, you name it.

    Merry Christmas buddy!!

Any progress on the GFC vs. Drifter situation?

Think I may end up sticking with the GFC. I’ve done the math multiple times and the difference of nearly $3,000 just is not worth it for the Drifter. Also one huge plus is that since the GFC is in such high deamnd, if I was not fond of it, it would easily sell for what I paid. I know I’d pay to skip a year waiting time.

Bijan, I completely understand the financial component. If you don’t mind me asking, what options did you add on? The options defiantly increase the price, but also unique to a The Drifter.

    Happy Holidays!

    Merry Christmas!

I just added two windoors and the fan - Options came out to $8,450 + tax. Unfortunately I can’t afford it with tuition increase from community college to a 4 year. I absolutely think your product is priced well and accordingly — It’s a “me” issue. I do hope to have one one day!

Brings me to another question - Can something like windoors or a fan be added after?
