I love my 2nd Gen's looks....but the 3rd Gens are even better. Despite all the bitching about the grilles sticking out, they look excellent from any angle. All the full size trucks out there are just big boxes. Rams, I think look the worst. Grille is hideous. And the trucks in the Taco's category are no competition. We all know the Ridgelines look like space aliens. The Colorados are boring. The new Ranger has lines in the front that are WAY too soft, almost looks like a Flex front end. Frontiers just look old. I've always loved the looks on Tacomas and looks account for plenty of vehicle purchases.

One has to wonder how truck sales will hold their value in the coming years with trucks being so popular now and sales so high. I think the old days of them holding high value to cars is a thing of the past.

Can't tell if you're being deliberately obtuse or you genuinely don't get it lol.

In case you actually don't understand I'll explain. Theres generally two ways to move product in a competitive market: quality and price.

If you have high quality you can charge more and still be competitive, think highline anything. If you lack quality you can still compete you just need to have a lower price to make up for it.

So to give an equivalent to your example yes McDonalds quality is shit and yet they sell more burgers than anyone, how can this be?? Because of the low price... If 5 Guys charged the same for their burgers are as a 1/4 pounder at McDonalds which one do you think honestly consumers would choose??

Tacomas have higher profit margins, higher average transaction prices, AND lower incentives then every other competitor in its class.... yet it still sells way more than anyone. How can this be?? Its because consumers vote with their wallets and they are choosing to pay more for what the market has determined is a superior product via objective data points like higher sales, better margins, stronger resale value.

Now if Toyota sold their trucks cheaper than the GM twins, Frontier etc... then you could use the McDonald's example to explain it. But you can't, because they charge MORE and still double the nearest competition. EVERY manufacturer would kill to have a product like the Tacoma.

Ya, like Cal Mini Truck in Pomona/Claremont area. If I were to be a dismantler, it would be for mini trucks, we’ll now midsize I guess.

The ranger is going to knock the Tacoma down a notch.

The Ranger as defeated the hilux world-wide.

All they need is a baby raptor and the Tacoma is done for.
