Looking for some advice before I pull the trigger on some oem black trail FJ cruiser 16” wheels. I am currently running 285/75/16 tires with 1.25” spidertraxx spacers on the stock OR wheel. With plenty of room between the tire and UCAs, while at the same time not sticking too far outside the wheel well.

I cannot seem to find what kind of offset these new FJ wheels have. Will I even need the spacers with them? If I keep the spacers on will it push the new wheels way too far?

I believe FJ rims have a 15 mm less offset.

It should be stamped on the back of the rim...along with the rim size and width

Look for "ET" followed by a number

Definitely +15 on the aluminum wheels. The steelies may be different.

Sorry. I wasn't very clear. Most Taco rims have a 30mm offset. I meant the FJ rims have 15mm less off set....meaning they will sit a bit more toward the fender.

My 4R TRD OR rims are 17x7.5 ET 15. Same rim used on the '14 FJ. That's the same specs my FJ steelies had too

Nice! I have the same wheels on my FJ and I always thought they would look great on a Taco as well.

285/75/16 slight rubbing on some plastic, easily fixed with a cutting wheel and a heat gun though

Wow. Looks great on a third gen. I actually have a set of the gun metal wheels for sale for anyone thinking about them. Great condition. Over in the wheel and tire section. They are 16x7.5 and are an ideal dimension for these trucks.

    Dimensions:

    Size: 16" x 7.5"
    Offset: 15mm

They sit nicely out just a tiny bit more than stock and that 15 offset I believe allows for the clearance of the control arms. So many different tire variations in same size, it may be hit or miss though. Lots of 2nd gen info out there and it should be similar as far as that specific rubbing issue is concerned.
