those tires are so cupped. just doing that wont help just moving them around. he would need new tires and alignment.

 

yes, this is true, but im sure he wants to get as much life out of them as he can. So rotate and align them now, they will last a little longer. Then get new tires when these are done.
Get lifetime alignments and you can align again when getting the new tires on.

I was already a little in flux due to your quote, that when the door bell rang and I opened the door to see a dog sitting there, I totally freaked out. Of all the days and houses lol. We spent about 20 minutes hanging out with her and giving her some water before locating her owner right up the street from us. My bed rail topper clamps came in yesterday so I spent some time this morning getting my Colorado cap to fit a little better. Had to do some shimming on the tailgate end, and cut the weather stripping on the back glass, but it fits much better now.

So. I have to ask... Instead of shimming the back up, couldn't you take off the rear window and trim off some of that metal at the bottom? Maybe even trim off slightly more than necessary then add some rubber weatherstripping at the bottom to keep the water out?
