Ya i scratched my truck. I did it taking the emblems off...I know im a dumb s**t. Some of them can buff out, but one well ok 2 of them i can see and feel with my finger nail...The truck is black sand pearl. I was wondering if there was a way to make it not so noticeable. I have heard about things called black magic or some kind of wax for black trucks...will that fill the scratch or make it not look like it does. I dont expect it to be perfect i dont want to get it re-painted. oh ya and the best part is that it is brand new....ya like i picked it up yesterday. A little help from the experts...and how much would it be to get that fixed? (If i had to get it painted) It is maybe 1/8th of an inch long hardly noticable. but i notice it...

Do yoju have pics? If it didn't get past the clear... you can wet sand it & buff it. If you don't feel comfterable doing it, take it to a bodyshop and have them do it. Shouldn't cost too much.
That's what I'm goin to do cause my cousin's dog jumped up and scratched the shit outta my access door. My best friends a painter so it's no biggie for me :)

Go buy one of those little tubes of touch up paint, then buff and wax it. It looks pretty small in the pic so it shouldnt be a problem

    Nice ink btw

Kinda hard to tell from the pic. Did it go to the metal or is it just on the surface in the clear? If it went to the metal, the most cost effective way is just use some touch up paint on it so it doesn't rust.

Body shop is expensive! My sister had 1 small quarter size dent in her hood and a few light scratches, the estimates range from $350-800!

Best thing to do is go get a hammer and whack your truck right on the tailgate. Then you won't give a shit anymore:D

I once borrowed a new truck from a best friend. Moved some stuff with it and put a "V" dent in the tailgate. I tried to tell him that I would get him a new tailgate and have it painted he would not allow me to! He kept saying "It's a f@cking truck!" He still has that truck (over 200,000 miles on it) and it still has that dent!

I can feel your pain. I have used my truck as a truck and yes, it has scratches and more than it's fair share of dents. Even my body guy (that I have spent a lot of money with during the last 15 years) will not repair or repaint my truck until I stop using it as a truck. Man I miss that scratch free truck I once had!

I had a small 4" scratch on the rear fender flare of my truck when some douche bag was backing out and hit it. It bothered me so much b/c my truck was only about 1 month old, that right the next day i called a guy i know that only does touch up work for toyota, infiniti & lexus, and had him fix it. cost me $125.00, but i felt much better that i didn't have to look at that damn scratch. anyways, the guy who hit it paid for it, so it didn't cost me anything. But, I'm just OCD like that. Hope you find something that works for you, but the only real solution is re-paint. Try to find only a touch up painter, they are usually a lot cheaper and real fast. my touch up guy had my truck back to me in 3 hours.
