Better tires. The stock tires are not bad performers but do not fit the personality of the TRD Off Road and Pro. They look okay in the Limited and Sport.

Agreed. Then again, iDrive is one of the best infotainment systems in the industry and Toyota's Entune is one of the worst. There are a lot of iDrive functions I wish Entune had.

That ZF transmission is immaculate, especially paired with a BMW engine.

    Locking fuel door
    Power seats
More range to dim or turn off the dash and stereo lights
Center console lid that opens wider
Noise isolator for the spare tire chain
    Disc brakes in the rear

Overall...not much. I love my truck.

Power seats...only if it has driver 1/2 memory
Apple play... Apple is NOT the only phone OS
Remote start no shut off.... this is a design to prevent theft, seems like no problem
all door keyless...Passenger and driver only IMHO
brake controller ... an option would be nice, but stock stuff is frequently swapped out. See tonneau, suspension, tires, wheels, etc.The wiring is there.
Trans temp/more gauges...should be an option on the screen
locking tailgate.. this is already an option at lest it is in SET
Heated rear seats.. does any truck have this??

I agree with @Flash1034 about a locking fuel door.

Cab could be taller for extra head room and so I don't have to duck to see around the miror and I'd be ok with losing an inch or two of bed length and adding it to the cab for a little more room in the rear of the quad cab.

Adaptive cruise control shouldnt disable especially not at ~25.

    Stereo should have carplay/android

Off road should come with real skids

    Passenger side keyless entry

My biggest complaint on the Tacoma is that the steering wheel does not telescope/adjust more and wish the console near my knee had a better angle, not a square edge. Also still getting used to the transmission, which is like no car I've ever driven before. Seems to shift at odd times to high gears on uphills.

Being a tall guy with long legs, I have to move the seat pretty far back, and I like a little recline to the seat so I'm not looking out the top of the windshield. Even though I have long arms also, when I have the seat back far enough so my knee isn't jammed into the sharp corners of the center console I still have a reach for the top of the steering wheel. I can the last two knuckles around the top of the wheel, but have to lean forward to get a full grip for faster corners. I think it has to do with the high tilt on the steering wheel also, probably due to airbag laws or something. My wifes 4Runner has much more adjust ability in the steering column. Other than that.. love it!!

Yeah, I get it... I was too sensitive to your quote based on just reading the other posters BS reply (Toyota would have responded exactly as you suggested -lol)

    :rofl::rofl:

Not hating. Just sharing my opinion. I think most of my post was agreeing with you.

I did point out that if Toyota did add a brake controller they would not "win" as a lot of what they do give us is quickly swapped out for something "better"

A Gasshole would be nice. but it would not prevent stupidity and vandalism. Many of the vehicles offered by Toyota already have a locking gas door, so they clearly are not adverse to the thought and have the ability. They made a choice.

One BIG issue I see is they do not disable the vehicle if the key is not present. Sure your dash says it is not present and it beeps. You can start your truck, take the key back inside the house, come back our and drive off in the truck and be just fine till you turn it off. If the key is not present the truck should be not be mobile. Our AT is a digital/electronic/not physical shifter it seems like a simple solution would be to shift into park when key leaves vehicle by software.

Agreed... even my wife’s Mercedes GL possesses the same key-not-present but can-drive-away failure. She thought her key was in her purse, she started the car successfully as I stood (with my key in my pocket) next to the door talking to my wife with the window down. Wife drives to store, shops, and then calls me to rescue her... really a serious fault. Would have been a complete disaster if she was driving on a solo long distance trip.

My parents used to have a van, Chrysler maybe, that was "Mom's". Dad would drop her at the door of Sam's or some other store and them go park. More than once Mom had the key in her purse and as she walked into the store he would try to drive off, but with no key the thing refused to shift out of park. He would have to chase her down for the key so he could go park.

But even that is not a very secure solution. I wish Toyota could/would find a better solution.

Sadly, keeping it European parking garage compliant.
I could use a few less dings and chimes telling me what to do... I don't think I've talked to a vehicle more than this one. Constantly find myself saying stuff like ding ding ding ding " I know the door is open!" And bing bing bing bing "What the F@ck is on now?!"
