Welcome Matt. T4Rs are nice. I helped David install a lift on one not too long ago, and it was a pretty sweet ride. Lots of guys on the forum have them. Hell, I don't even have a toyota anymore but I still hang around for the BS and friendly atmosphere. Plus if I get on the subie forums I'll be in debt up to my eyeballs.

Shit you guys must be bad luck, got rear ended this morning. Fortunately it was at a stop light, not too bad, just sore back, not even a dent in the bumper and no damage to the hitch.

Anything I should look for as far as unseen damage? If not I'm not gonna bother insurance about it.

Same deal we had, stopped at a red light, no traffic, clear sunny morning. Depends what you wanna do if you are feel sore you are Injured and could pursue a personal injury claim for "soft tissue damage" /whiplash. If they are at fault I'd at least take it in for an estimate, you can always get a check for the damages if you in the vehicle and put it towards somwthsom else.

I was planning on just popping some ibuprofen and having a beer....good combo I hear. I prefer not to go after people if I don't really need to, sure its his fault but eh, if there is no actual damage I don't really care. I will heal. Just wanted to make sure there isn't anything I should look for specifically. The TPS light did come on right after the crash but it reset. I'll double check the spare tire and everything down there to be sure nothing is out of whack. I already have holes cut in my bumper for my lights so its not like I want them messing with it.

Carefully check around the hitch. If he hit square on the hitch it may have went through to the frame. Look at the bed where it meets up to the cab and look for any uneven areas. If it was hard enough they may have tweaked the frame.

Right? The talk of awd drifting reminding me of it.

Depending on your medical insurance, it certainly wouldn’t be a bad idea to go through insurance to at least get everything documented. I’ve known people that have been in minor accidents like that and end up being in pain for a longggggg time afterwards. Not worth it to ignore it if it’s not your fault.

I checked the rubber hitch cover and it didn't look like it had been hit, there was no scuffs or anything, it seems like he really hit just square bumper to bumper bent his license plate on the plastic cover of the lower license plate, that is cracked but it was brittle/cracked before he hit it.

it depends who you are talking too when the adjuster gives you shit!

I dealt with a adjuster (State farm) a few yrs back when his client came into a occupied lane causing me to swerve hitting a curb. I then filed a claim for $586 bucks for damage (bent rim and bad wheel bearing and alignment. He of course lied to the cop and his insurance company. State Farm denied the claim I filed suit took him to court on warrant for dept went to court pleaded my case with the mediator client again this time under oath I pulled out the phone video and mediator said you sir just committed perjury did you bring your tooth brush! State Farm ended up paying me the money plus I think about $1,200/$1,500 extra.
