Any of you guys that are a Technician or have access to Toyota's TSB/Recall database willing to help us maintain a thread or section specific to Tacoma TSBs and Recalls?

I think that it would be wonderful for us to not have to reference outside sources for our TSBs and Recalls. What do you think?

Thats a great idea. I have thought about that as well, either a section within the forum for TSB's or a place on the site with them. I was thinking a tab up top between "Tacoma Photos" and the "Buy/Sell/Trade tabs". Just my 2 peso's.

So do we have a stable way of gettin the tsbs and recall info? If so that would be a great addition to the site. Banshee's idea of the tab at the top is good too, and either a drop down menu listing the most recent tsbs/recalls or just linking straight to the particular forum for them.

That is where I get stumped. I was hoping some one on here had access to TSBs or Recall data directly, but many of us scour the internet anyway. We could just have it where people post what is known to be official...

Yes, but that is specific to your vehicle year. We need to encompass all years/generations of Tacomas. On top of that, this site talks about Recalls and complaints - not TSBs.

TSB - Technical Service Bulliten - (from my understanding) is a voluntary publication of a fix that the manufacturer is will to repair at their own cost due to a defect in the original manufacturing. It does not necessarily include safety related issues. Safety issues are usually covered under Recalls and are fairly well publicised. A TSB is usually only publicised to the dealership's service department, and customer's usually find out about them after an issue has already occured.

    TSB Example: Tailgate TSB...

Several other Tacoma TSBs can be viewed here: http://clem.mscd.edu/~reesegr/

We definatelly need a TSB section. I would probably be the most used area here. I dont know about anyone else, but anyway I can get Toyota to work on my truck for free sounds great for me.

Agreed. I'm checking out a couple different services that offer TSBs. If anybody finds any that can provide me TSB updates via email (or any way where I don't have to manually look for new ones), please let me know. Paid or free is ok.
