Check out my photo album...I did components and cross overs in the kick plates with power pack 90W bridged amp tucked up above the glove box...

    Ah you're doing rears...
It's a 2010 access cab? I don't think you have rear door speakers? There is a spot for them but there are no speakers in there. There are wafer speakers in the headliner behind and above the driver and passenger that are the "rear" channel. They are just glorified noise makers. When I did my upgrade I just disconnected them.

I took a bunch of stuff out of the door pocket to see if it was just vibrating from something in there. But that same shit has been in there for a long time months and can’t imagine it is causing me to think it’s my imagination
So when I check in later it will can be confirmed that my speaker is junk. I attached a picture early I thought about posting a video with the sound but that will be stupid

Cross posted in the BST thread but...

Up for grabs is a storage drawer that fits perfectly against the wheel wells in the bed of the truck. I picked it up with high hopes, but I’ve found that it does not leave enough room for my needs between the box and the tonneau. The box is lockable but i lost the keys, easy to replace. I plan to replace it with a plastic tool box. This is a great option for someone with a cap. Please PM me if interested! Located in Westfield, MA.

    Dimensions are 46”W 28.5” D 10” H

Ok. The 2008 had real rear speakers. That makes it pretty simple as the wiring is all there. Just turn the fade to rear and balance to left and listen...The speaker should never blow with a factory head unit....but they do die...any upgrade will be worlds better. I would do front and rears. It's not difficult at all....a zero skill person would probably take a sat/sun going really slow. I think it took me 4 hours but I was running new wire and installing crossovers and an amp. You could seriously install 'just speakers' in a bout 20 min per door. I don't know if you have the factory radio or you upgraded but if you didn't upgrade be aware that the factory head unit was tuned for the factory speakers and may even have limitations on the kind of sound it can output. There may not be full range sound going to the rear speakers.
I found this. It's a photo install breakdown for opening up the rear door on a 2008

If you buy speakers from Crutchfield they give you all the hardware

You’re the man! Stopped by AutoZone today, snagged that bulb and it made life so much easier. Fluid coming out was dark brown. Put fresh ATF in (per the cap recommendation) and turned the car on from lock to lock as well. Small whine now so I’ll see if it disappears on the commute tomorrow. Plan to repeat the 5 minute process next week.

Those speakers will be simple. Trust me.

At 10 years old even factory ones can go, exposure to heat/cold can do them in for instance.

Looks like you have 6.5's in the rear doors. Those ain't bad, you might not need plates..just the wiring adapters. You "can" do it without adapters but why cut up the stock harness if you don't have to? I didn't use them on mine but I pulled new wire for my amplifiers.

Something I just learned is that when you call your insurance company to ask a question about a potential claim, a notation is made in their system and could result in a rate increase even if you never file the claim, so be wary of doing it.

Really?! I have done this before but never had an increase.
If that were to happen though I'd switch pronto.
I do usually swich between Geico and allstate, had progressive many years ago they always seem to be out of the competition though. Geico has always been my favorite though.

I had Hanover for years. I'd check yearly and no one came close on price without dropping the coverage to something laughable. When I was buying the F-150, Hanover told me it would be around $2300 to insure it for the year, so I looked again. This time, everyone was lower. Geico ended up being the lowest, I'm at around $1000 for identical coverage and deductible to what Hanover wanted $2300 for. Plus, this one has rental coverage on top of it.

Yeah no whine prior but not too concerned about it. Felt good turning and will repeat the process again a few times before I start really looking into it.

    Absolutely right there!
I called Allstate to ask if I needed to report with them on a wood stove install. A month or so goes by and get an increase in my bill . The gave me soME BS and deny it.
