I hate because I don't have "auto headlights", the high beam shite is second fiddle.

Edit: What pisses me off is the toyota marketing dept. spent $7 sourcing a auto-high beam switches just to differentiate it as a "model feature" instead of just having auto-headlights like the Limited/Pro or even my 2016 Camry LE. This seems to be standard in todays day and age and very stupid.

My offroad has Auto headlights and auto high beams. I have the premium package though.

My Pro doesn't have auto high beams. But I could care less about that stuff

Not being a dick but what sold you on the Pro over the OR?

I should add some clarification for those who aren't familiar with the difference.
Auto-Highbeam (automagically turns high beams off for on-coming traffic)

Auto-Headlights (Leave the switch on 24/7 and lights come on automagically)

Auto highbeams is a TSS feature introduced in 2018. I don't use it either. It's way to sensitive and constantly flashes other drivers.

It is standard for Toyota but not all automakers operate that way. That’s why I’m happy Toyota is facing some competition in this segment. I bet next gen will get standard rear disc brakes and standard intermittent wipers.

My dealer tried to get me into a Pro, they had a blue one on the lot that was nice but I only wanted white and an off road. I laughed when he said “oh we sell them for msrp and no less”.

On the rear disks, I was surprised when my 1998 had drums and kind of shocked when my 2001 still had them and then about crapped when my 2010 had them and after saying "this will surely be my last drum brake vehicle" Alas my 2018 is rocking drums like its 1980!

I wanted to add that aside from bad e-brake adjusters the old school drums have never given me a single bit of trouble so at least there is that.

Toyota has explained that the rear drum brakes don't clog up with mud and fail like disc brakes. So that is why we have them

All 2018 Toyota models have that feature as part of the TSS, it’s a federal mandate that the Manufacturers have to have certain safety features as standard equipment.

What sold me was the price. I was looking for an '18 OR MT and couldn't find one I was happy with. I found a dealer that had a leftover '17 PRO MT and they couldn't sell it so I negotiated and got them to lower the price quite a bit. It was a plus because I knew I wasn't going to be able to change much for a while so having the fox suspension is a SLIGHT upgrade and I can fit 285s without lifting it. Overall i'm happy with my decision

If you're going to do lift, wheels and tires regardless, I'd go SR and add the above and a ARB. Custom truck for the cost of a stock OR. You could then add sliders, bed rack and rtt and still be under the cost of a PRO.

You sat in the truck (possibly to consider the purchase) knowing it wasn't white, and it wasn't an off road. Laughed because "cool guy".
