They're just being humble to the Auto guys lol

    :p:p:p

I was being slightly sarcastic.. the point i'm trying to make it is that some people don't research, over pay and 6 months later figure out they bought a truck they didn't want. Unless you need something like right now, what's the rush? research, test drive, shop.

Must have been a glancing blow. I've seen worse posted here from parking lot accidents with these Tacomas. Glad everybody was ok

The 3rd Gen Tacoma is proving a safe truck. For sure it comes apart, but saves your life in the process.

Get a Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring with AWD. My fiancée drives a CX-5 and I enjoy driving that more than my BMW DD. It’s comfortable, looks great, has plenty of space for when I need to pick up hardware, and has those awesome Mazda driving dynamics. If you get the 2019 with the 2.5 turbo, you won’t miss your Scion.

I honestly wish I had never told her about it. I wanted one but didn’t want to match with her!

I think the snow was actually a benefit. We were like a hockey puck, and a lot of the energy of the impact was dissipated. The truck was already jackknifing when he rear ended us. We spun around, and the trailer hit the front as it came around. Pushed us into a guardrail. We all walked away, even the pooch.

Sport is a 'looks' package and Off Road is a traction package. What is more important, a fake hood scoop and painted bumpers or a locking differential and A-TRAC traction of MTS/ Crawl?

I was disappointed that the PRO has the fake hood scoop like the Sport. I wish I could get rid of it. If it is fake and non functional, what is the point. Waste of money

Trade in the FR-S and the wife, buy a TRD Pro, live happily ever after.
Seriously though. I Can't believe she's "letting" you drive the FR-S with all its vulnerability being so low etc., but is more concerned with "bad memories" of pick up trucks...especially with all the safety features built into the newer Tacomas...

You could easily get rid of it and make a little cash too. There's a ton of OR owners on here who would pay to swap hoods.

    edit:
    see?

Marketing scheme... it makes it LOOK like it has more horsepower (apparently). They sell a ton of Sports because of it... and never reveal to the buyer that it has no different traction ability that a base Tacoma. Never assume that if you pay the same for a Sport it has the equipment of the similar priced Off Road.

I chose the looks over the locker and I'm happy with my decision.

Since I had the 2013 Sport I understand about them, but when I got the 2018 Sport 4x4 I expected more. I got less. Bouncy with junk shocks not Bilsteins like my 2013. I dumped it after 4 weeks.

I would never say get any Tacoma less than an OR. It is the one to go for all around.

Not sure if serious or trolling...

The Auto and MT have the same engine (obviously). Factory tune sucks. However, the Auto has terrible gear hunting so the tune is 2 parts, engine and the trans, where the MT gets the same engine tune only because you know, manual. When the driver decides the appropriate gear vs an Auto trans that doesn't have shift points programmed.
