Anyone happen to know of any Leer X2T's still out there for a 2018 shortbed? Not looking for the Trilogy, looking for the Trilogy X2T. Not looking for used, looking for new. It was discontinued earlier this year, so i need to find a dealer that still happens to have one in stock. Checks all my boxes in terms of features, and water infiltration. I'm trying to replace my OEM cover prior to PA hunting seasons. there are none left anywhere around the major cities and towns in PA or Baltimore, and Leer's replacement for the XT2 (model number HF350 which may or may not be similar design) is lagging behind. Leer isn't even sure when they will get any.

I am also looking for the Trilogy X2T but for a long bed.
The design and features really do check all the boxes.

There was a place in Florida that I called that a 6.5’ version. Can’t remember the name of the place, but I think I found them selling them on Amazon. Good luck.

oops. meant to type 6' not 6.5'. now i cant remember if the guy told me he had a 6' or a 6.5'. he did say it was for a tacoma long bed but he might have been confused as to the length as well which is why 6.5' was in my mind. in any case, might be worth a call.

FYI...leer's replacement for the X2T is now available. I haven't seen it in person yet, but the guys at Leer East (and the factory outlet store in PA) say its been flying out the door. they havent received any complaints yet of leaking either. They claim it is improved over the X2T but its still early. anyone know anything about them yet? anyone have one yet? Thanks.

They haven’t updated the website yet. There is a video of the new cover (HF350) on their Facebook page.

awesome! thanks for the info. they really do drag their feet on the website updates. i will check out the facebook video. everyone that had an X2T had good things to say, particular in the leaking department so hopefully the new one is just as good. Thanks again!

thanks again for the heads up on that video. hard to tell much as its just a quick auto show type ad, but it looks very similar to the x2t. double seals hopefully keep it reasonably dry in the bed.

Had the hf350 installed a little while ago. So far I’m not thrilled with the leaking. You can read about it here...

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/recently-released-leer-trifold-model-hf350.588756/

Since my last post in that thread, ive discovered a few different areas of concern that appear to be install related more so than the cover itself. I’m waiting for a day that it’s at least in the 40’s before I try and work on it. It was the first Tacoma install the shop did with this cover so I think they just don’t know what they’re doin yet. I will report back on the thread I just linked as soon as I get to mess with it a little more.

I’ve tinkered around with it but the problem is that it hasn’t rained very much. It’s either been too cold and snowy or just dry. It did rain once or twice over night and there wasn’t much water inside but I did see some dampness. Just not sure how much came in. I’m waiting until we have a good solid rain when I’m actually awake to go look at it before I make a decision on keeping it or not. But I can already tell that with the work I put in to it, it’s significantly better than my oem cover was. I just need to get a good look while it’s raining. I will keep you posted. Water infiltration to be determined...everything else about the cover is great.
